  1. Hi Guys; This is my first Porsche and will put it in my garage end ofoctober for winter time. It's a 03 base Boxster. I'm planning to do my oil change myself. I will buy an oem oil filter with o-ring and Mobil one 0-40 synt. oil. My question is regarding the aluminum crush washer for the oil plug. The place where I buy my Porsche stuff offers me 3 sizes: 12x15x1.5mm, 14x18x1.5mm or 18x24x1.5mm. Pls confirm the good one? Thanks!
  2. Finally did my best with that cover. I'm happy with the result. I will order a new OEM cover in spring time and replace this one that have scratches and a good ding in the front. Should fit better that this one because it have been repaired. Did clean coolant & A/C coils. Wow, there was a lot of **** in there! Took two showels to clean the garage floor after cleaning the coils! Thanks you all for your support on that process. Thierry
  3. I did remove the bumper cover. looks like the bumper cover adjustment problem come from the top retaining bar height adjustment where the two screws are in (see second picture with screw drive pointed to). This bar is bolted to the car and height is adjustable. Is there any info I can get that will show how to adjust the height of that bar to be sure top of bumper will fit with hood cover???
  4. Hi; One of my friends will come and see me with his PST2 to enable OBC, Cruise & program a new remote key. Because he will be there, I'll ask him to enable the passenger Airbag deactivation option as I already order the bar to install a baby seat. Question: Do we enable that option when PST2 is plug at the same place that we will be for the OBC, Cruise, Key or we have to plug the PST2 somewhere else, let say a SRS module? Thanks for sharing your experience. Thierry
  5. Sorry for that. I don't want to break the rules here.
  6. Any body have access to the factory service manual, under volume 0 (part 2) - section 96 - Alarm system diagnosis I32; I48. The section is "Reading out and transferring remote control". I would like to have those instructions emailed to me just in case my friend don't have it. Pls use the following adress: tdespaux@gmail.com Thanks!
  7. What do you mean, the white tag att. to the new key with several numbers and bar codes? From the list I wrote, what code he will need?
  8. Guys, one of my friends have access to a PST2. He will meet me at home to active my On Board Computer option. I did buy a new remote key from a dealer because I got only one with that pre-own car. He told me that he need a learning code from Porsche to code the new remote. My dealer gave the following codes: DME CODE REMOTE CONTROL CODE 1 REMOTE CONTROL CODE 2 IGNITION LOCK ALARM CODE TRANSPONDER CODE 1 TRANSPONDER CODE 2 TRANSPONDER CODE 3 Any body can confirm that I have the necessary code to program my new key? Tks
  9. Just to let you know, no, the doesn't "spring" open (until the safety catch) when released.
  10. Item 14 are totally screwed. See add. pics if it can help... Thierry
  11. Guys, I buyed this car like that. I got a very good discount to repair by myself the front bumper... I'm tying to understand what's wrong, I need your inputs. Look to att. picture. Centre hood is ok with the bumper, but both end are not and it looks to be symetrical on both sides. I will ask pricing to bodyshops around here to make the repair, but I would like to understand what is the problem prior to go and see anybody that would be able to repair my car? Thanks for your help. Thierry
  12. Here is my investigation so far: Removed the driver door panel. By looking to att. PDF file it looks like the part that is RED circled is ended nowhere. Does it suppose to enter in a mosule and turn something? If yes, what is the best way to access the surrounding and see if I can re-route that flat section in the right plce? Please confirm. See att. pdf Guys; It's repaired. It was the extention of the key that goes to the lockking module that was out of it's wat. Was able to remove & re-install it the right way by removing the door handle. Thank you all, specially Juniinc for providing an explode view of the driver door handle. That drawing was the source of my investigation. It was a 2 hours job, save me a lot of $$. Thierry

  14. Hi; Yesterday I'd try to lock/unlock my 03 Base Boxster with my key by the driver side door. Nothing happen both sides. With the remote, everything works fine but not for the manual process with the key. When turning key both sides I have resistance like my other car, the key doesn't turn freely. Can it be a problem between the tumbler & the lock? Can it be repair if I access it by the driver door? Need help pls. Thierry
