What about Bridgestone? to me they have always been the perfect middle between Pirelli (huge grip, fast wearing) and Michelin (medium grip, medium wearing) i don't have a GT3 but a 987 and i use bridgestone potenza's on them, and have promoted them to a friend of mine who has a 996 turbo, and he confirmed : they have also huge grip when heated a little (first corners be more careful) , after that it's grip grip grip and the tires wear VERY slowly. try them :)
