  1. 1. I would like to know what you personally use to catch the 9 qts. of oil as it drains...? (Seems like a awfull lot of oil for a cheapo lil' standard oil pan seing as most cars only use 4-5 qts...)

    2. How and what do you use to pour it into to keep from making a mess on your garage floor so that I can transport it to a oil recycling facility?

    3. What retailer has the best price for oil? Kragen? Napa?, WalMart? etc...

  2. I installed the ROW M030 and had my car aligned at Porsche approx one year ago, and noticed that the inside portion of my rear tires (285's) is wearing much faster than normal.

I was wondering if Porsche sells a different piece for ROW cars that is more adjustable that the ones on our US cars?

It is significant enough that I am thinking of going back to stock 265's as well to see if that helps... What I don't want to do is pay for an alignment and new set of tires every year...

    Suggestions?

    Paul

  3. I think I have a ghost living in my car. . . Tee hee hee

    1. When closing the moon roof, on occasion it will close all the way and then suddenly open back up again 1/4 of the way for no reason? Nothing is blocking it and the track is clean... Any thoughts?

    2. Also wierd, when my fiancee closes the passenger side door, sometimes the window rolls down 1/4 of the way for no know reason? She has great respect for the P-car and dson't slam the door either...

    Any thoughts? :help:

  4. RoW M030 Sport Suspension Install

by drpaulmarsh, Ryan Hanson & Hans Wiederrich   Note: Part numbers sometimes change without notice. Always double check with your supplier that you have the latest part numbers. Front Strut Removal and Installation: 1. Loosen lug nuts slightly and block rear wheels. 2. Remove the shroud on the trunk with a torx screwdriver. 3. Mark the location of the three (3) 13 mm bolts on the top of the trunk that holds the strut to the body with a ink pen. 4. Jack up the car and r

  5. I went on ebay, craigslist and various other forums (renntech/6speed) looking for a good deal on a wing but had no luck. So I ordered the part from Suncoast today and they gave me a good discount $66~

Should arrive in a week or so depending on the weather over there.

Loren do you have any info for removal and replacement so I can make us another DIY article for the fix???

  6. I have a 1999 996 C2 and noticed the other day when washing my car that when the wing is in the up position, my black accordion looking baffle is torn & has two good sized holes in it.

Should I be concerned (i.e less air going down to cool the engine?) or it this purely cosmetic? If it is not cosmetic, how do all these guys with the fixed wings get away with it?????

    <_<

Also how much for the part and how easy is it to DIY...

  7. For example, when I did the performance driving school I was sliding all around in my seat and by the end of the day my right shin had a nice bruise from pressing it up against the center console. . .

My thoughts were: There must be an affodable way to lock me down in the seat better, without buying GT3 alien head seats and a full harness setup...?

    Or

maybe some of you have some tips on how to save weight and go faster?

    Or

possibly what tools I should bring with me just in case???
