  1. Hi guys. Hope you can help. I have recently started using my 1999 MY 996 C4 cab again after having parked it up for a few months. When cleaning it out inside the other day i have noticed dampness on the front passenger side carpet where clearly water has got in, and more worryingly, the carpet behind the drivers seat was completey soaked in water. :o All of the windows were properly closed as was the elctric hood which has no apparent leaks. I have read about drainage channels getting blocked so need to check these, but dont really know where to locate them. Also are there any other suggestions of where this water could be getting in???? :help: I have previously noted drips under the dash on the passenger side footwell, and i found a load of paper towells stuffed in there, presumably from a previous owner who noted water was getting in the passenger side somewhere around the bonnet!! Any help would be fantastic ........
  2. Hi guys. I have a 99 MY 996 C4 cab and have been having recent problems with the 2 small rear windows. :( I haven't used the car a lot over the past 6 months, although recently i have started using it again, and now have problems with the rear windows, in that they will go down, but will not easily come back up when i press the switches. I have pressed the rocker switches back and forth a few times as they seemed a little stuck, in the hope this would loosen them and sort the problem. However this hasn't worked. The only way they seem to come back up now is if i push the switch to wind them down and then very quickly press the other side of the switch to wind them back up without taking my finger off it. If i take my finger off the switch and then press it to wind them back up then nothing happens. :help: There's clearly a connection problem within both switches, and i'm wondering if its a corrsosion problem or something, as the car has been suffering with water ingress and therefore a large build up of condensation in the car!!! This is another issue i need to sort and am assuming it is the drain holes/tubes??? I assume i can sort this if i can dismantle the switches and clean up the connections but am unsure how to do this. Any help would be hugely appreciated as i am loving driving the car again but this is really annoying. Thanks in advance and hope you can help.....
