  1. I have a 2002 C4S with factory BOSE option. How would you know if you have MOST bus or not ? I was thinking of changing my head unit to an aftermarket navigation system (eg. Pioneer AVIC Z1) but not sure if I needed to get new amps. I was told that if I have MOST bus, then I definitely need to get new amps... any help ? Thanks, J.
  2. Yes, just remove the relay completely. It should make your PSE "OPEN" all the time. This is what I did. If you want your car to be silent, just put it on again.
  3. Why not just make things simple and remove the relay at all. This is the easiest way to always make the muffler open. According to Loren, the relay is just specific to the PSE and nothing else. Do you agree ?
  4. Yes. Depending on the age of PSE system it could be part number 996.618.980.01, 996.618.980.02 or 996.618.980.03. So it's better off just removing the relay instead of cutting wires on the relay holder or cutting diode inside the relay, right ?
  5. I have read a post here in renntech that if you open the relay and cut one of the diodes, it should work. It worked perfectly but sometimes, when you start the car, it automatically goes on silent mode and the only way to make it loud again is to pull the relay (while engine is running) and put it back again. I got tired of doing this from time to time so I just completely pulled out the relay to make it loud all the time. It works perfectly so far and never had any malfunction on my car. Loren, Is this relay ("Abgasklappen") really just for PSE and nothing else ? Please confirm. Thanks, J.
  6. Has anybody tried the Fabspeed 996 Catalytic converter bypass Pipes ??? I'm really tempted to get this but kinda scared if it's going to be as loud as the fabspeed muffler bypass. Bought the muffler bypass a year ago and removed it the same day. That darn thing was so loud that it sounds like a big boat on the road. Please help !!! Thanks, Dice. http://www.fabspeed.com/996,%20GT3%20Catbypass%20Pipes.JPG
  7. Hi There. I'm currently motivated to buy some nice seats for MY00 Carrera 4. However, I'm having a hard time battling with myself if they are really worth it. I have no intentions of tracking my car. Just wanted to get the seats for looks. Please help. BTW, the reason I was motivated to buy seats was because a firend of mine is selling his Sparco Speed seats for $200. All the people that I talked to said that those seats are not intended for my car since Sparcos are known to be more on Japanese cars. This made me into the groove to buy new seats for my car. However, I only plan to replace only the driver's seat due to $$$$ concerns.
  8. Do you mind sharing the source of your $679 GHL muffler.. The price just gets me interested right away.. Thanks... Dice
  9. Hi There.. I'm in the market for buying a set of mufflers for my2000 carrera 4. I wanted to get some thoughts of my fellow carrera owners as to what exhaust they think the best bang for the buck and best performance of all. I have 3 choices: PSE Cargraphic Remus Romulus I can get the PSE used from $900.00. The cargraphic is $800 new and the Romulus $800 new I don't know how the cargraphic and remus sounds. I have heard the PSE already and it sounds great. I need your help.... Please shed some light.
  10. Hi There... I need you guys expertise about the Tequipment rollbars.. I know somebody selling a rollbar but is for a convertible. I called my local dealership and said that this won't fit a coupe. There is a separate part number for the coupe and convertible. Is this true ? Please help... Thanks, Dice
  11. Hi There, I was searching for the DIY cluster removal instructions. I saw a post but the link was already dead. My Speedo LCD light got busted I think and I wanted to do this on my own since the dealer wanted me to wait 1 week in order to get my car scheduled. Can wait for that long as I need to see my speed... It's kinda hard to read the needle so relying so much on my digital speedo.. Please help...
