  1. Simon: Take a look at this link too: http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?s...c=10458&hl= Regards, Maurice. Had the same problem.....If you didnt fix it already.....I removed the latch plate and the small pressure clips had slipped and the switch plate would move up and send the windows down. Reset the switch and clips and all is better. 5 minute fix.
  2. How are you waiting? The wait time is "drive time". Try 5009 or 5007 HAHA..you are correct...dfrive time for the first 2 hours...now it is sleating and snowing a bit. I'll give these a try. Thanx SOO much. Loren, Tried the 2 codes ..no luck..any other thoughts? Again thanx for your time and help.

  4. Loren...I finally need your code help. Ive read all your past posts and am up about 3 hours in wait time. Help? 98 Boxster CDR-210 W5020950
  5. Loren......I have a 98 Boxster with the CDR 210 and will be disconnecting the battery for some work soon. I have not seen any codes for the 210....any help? Thanx Page 12...I may have them ...are they relatively universal?
  6. I have switched out to the 452's on my 98 Boxster under recommendation....awesome looking and the wet and dry handling has been fantastic. I took off my P-Zero's and the difference is very subtle. In my eyes..a very good choice on my part.
  7. I have a 98 Boxster (54000)....I took a nice drive (2 hours) on saturday..to my Prep school alumni homecoming game night. When pulling into the campus, it sounded as if the front end or suspension was rattling away. Took a look at the front end as best I could and all looked fine...nothing loose or falling off. Later that night..drove home and all was fine and zero sounds from the front end at all. Any ideas or similar experiences out there?
  8. I just had the exact same problem...I placed 4 tiny foam pads under the top/bottom and 2 sides allowing the airbag to push off the contacts and the horn works like a champ again. Drew
  9. I had a clunk in the rear and it turned out to be the original motor mount (that you cant see) was bad...it has been said else where that they start going at 45000. I am at 54000 and it was gone. Changed it (1.5 hours) and all is like new..ALL my sounds around the car seemed to disappear.
  10. Thank you all for your input..I ordered a new motor mount for Sunrise Porsche for 183.00 and it was installed in 1.5 hours..piece of cake. And that made all the difference in the world...its like a new vehicle. Shifts better..perkier...just a real pleasure to drive again... Thank you again. Drew
  11. MY 98 Boxster has some light wear on the drivers bolster from all the ins and outs...(expected)...any recommendations for the proper dye to use for recoloring these wear spots? I have the light grey interior....very minor wear..but its driving me nuts.
  12. That was my thought...but Im being told all looks and feels tight. Is there a way of checking that..or something to look for?
  13. I have found a light thunk sound that comes to life while accelerating and shifting gears. I think it might be the shock towers moving.....but a friend mechanic said that the has zero movement and is very tight and sound. Any ideas out there? or similar experiences?
