  1. Thanks for all your help guys. After a better look this morning, its a lot worse than it seemed yesterday. I thought my wife had clipped the sidesill, but apparently she drove right over the curb. The entire side sill is scraped with a big crack at the end of it, and a portion of the undercarriage cover has also sheared off exposing some hoses and what not. Its off to Porsche :(
  2. I think my wife mistook the AWD for 4WD :o and drove my car over a curb today. Fortunately, the only damage is the left side mud flap (i think that's what it is). Its a piece that sits between the lower side sill and the bottom of the wheel well lining, extending down towards the floor. Does anyone know what the part number might be? Its for a 2005 TTS. Loren, I know you appear to be a guru on this stuff, so much appreciated if you can help me out...Thanks.
  3. I guess this is reflected in the prices of the stage 1/2 vs 4/5 kits available today....
  4. I ran accross this article that has some interesting things to say about chipping. Has anyone seen this or have any comments on it? It is regarding a Lotus, but I would think most of the concepts apply to us as well... http://www.lotus-carlton.fsnet.co.uk/chipping.htm
  5. Actually, the car was perfect when i picked it up from Porsche in Dallas. I drove it back 1300miles to Canada -- very carefully. About 3 miles from my house, a gravel truck pulled in front of me and i watched in slow motion as a stone did the jig on my hood...I probably should wait, but it just bothers me everytime i look at it. Jag
  6. I just got a 2005 TTS (5800 miles) and have a couple of questions... 1) At idle I can hear a vibration when outside the car. The exhaust has a nice purr, but I hear almost a rattle/belt type sound. Is this normal or is something loose? 2) I have stone 3 stone chips on the hood - what is the best way to get rid of these. I talked to a shop that works on high end cars, and they suggested repainting the hood, is this advisable? THanks for any help...Jag.
