dagger! was hoping there was a unit with an good compatible wire harness. so probably end up the same cost as an OEM unit when all is said and done then.

My 06 S stereo nav head unit is shot. Screen is all wacked and it randomly turns off and back on. Cost of OEM replacement is not worth it to me. Does anyone have any recommendations for a quality replacement ?
Thanks!

My head unit is displaying lines and randomly rebooting. Looking for a replacement unit does anyone know the part #? I have nav and Bose - thanks!

My 06 S just started having issues last week. Boots with the logo then turns into all lines all button functions work. Mine will also shut down randomly after 15 to 30 minutes. Saw the screen replacement process looks pretty straight forward although with it randomly shutting down worth the cash for the screen?

Mine has a gash in it and is rusting out on one side and paint is flaking off. Looking online couldn't find any DIY's. Has anyone replaced it and how hard is it to do?

I am looking at a 2001 Boxster S (claimed as a Black Edition but which is acutally white with a blue interior) selling for $21k it has 36k miles on it. That is about 10k higher than blue book but blue book dosen't have anything other than the S trim. Is that a fair price? Seller has done upgrades Borla exhaust, cold air intake, lights, and custom Porsche approved light surrounds and spoiler.....
Thanks

I had a constant alarm on the washer fluid didn't ever see it leaking after filling finally looked and found that the left front headlamp washer hose was disconnected. I filled it up, no leaks but still getting the alarm when turn on the car. Hooked it up to Durametric and there are no faults. Any idea why that is still throwing?
Thank you

Looks great thank you! Any chance there is a free site? Have a few years before I retire from my full time gig to setup my own Indy shop so I can justify the expense;)

Is there a real oem type platform for the Porsche? Pelican parts used to have a pretty good model but had to take it down - Porsche.com just has the PDF download...
Thanks!

I use cool carbon brake pads on my BMW's which provide better performance with really low dust and they are only a few dollars more (only have to wash rims every 2 weeks!). They have pads for all models EXCEPT the Cayenne. Is there a similar pad you have used for the Cayenne?
Thanks!

Doing a winter maint check and noticed the hydraulic oil is low - did some searching around and haven't got a consistent answer on brand / type. Anyone provide a clear answer?
Thanks!

thanks - is that a difficult DIY? Any other significant items to watch out for?

Good question - not sure. I am guessing I should take a look - how long do they usually last?

I have an 06 S with 90k on it the service light is on. I have a durametric and can reset it - any significant maintainence that I should look at doing? It's running great - replaced coils and plugs at 80 and regularly do the oil/filters....Thanks
Thanks!

I just put a deposit on a 02 Turbo with 40k miles on it. It's in another state and I am looking to fly out and look at it. It is 100% stock, single owner, no accidents. Is there anything in particular I should look for that could mean trouble? Any known issues with that year?
Thank you!
