  1. I am a newby learning all I can on the 996 before purchase. I understand about the RMS leak and how after several repairs it's better to just replace the engine. I've read that one will probably deal with RMS every 20K miles. My question is that once you have installed a factory rebuilt engine does the RMS problem go away forever?? Or will the rebuilt engine have the same issues? Any veterans who have gone through this, I could sure use your input!!
