  1. I have to have the airbag warning light reset so maybe i'll see what the tech has to say. Thanks for your excellent help as always.:notworthy:
  2. Does anyone know how to overide the computer so that it doesn't shut off my HID headlights? My vehicle didn't come from the factory with xenon headlights so I purchased DMM Tuning HID kit with error eliminators. The computer still intermittently turns off one or both headlights but at other times not. Any thoughts?
  3. Is the part number for the 2011 Cayenne S oil filter element 948 107 222 00? Have only been able to find it thru 2009. Thanks.
  4. :thankyou: Thanks again. I have installed PIAA halogens but they are not quite as illuminating but will have to do.
  5. Thanks for the info, I guess I will have to see if more info is forthcoming as this model is out longer. :thankyou:
  6. Can anyone tell me why aftermarket HID low beam headlights will not work in the new Cayennes? They come on initially for about a minute then they shut off with a dash warning to "check left (or right) dipped beams". Is there computer monitoring of the current flow to the headlights that indicates that lhe bulbs are 'not working'? The car didn't have factory xenons and retrofitting the factory units are cost prohibitive.
  7. Loren, I got the GT3 wiring harness and wired it up. Still get a check light for the rear spoiler brake light. Is there anyway the dealer can reprogram things to take out this annoying warning at each startup? Hmm... I wonder if you have the wrong harness? They should be able to check it with a PIWIS tester. Will try that. Thanks.

  9. Phillip, Thanks for the info; it is a rattle so I'll rest a little easier. Just got the last issue of Excellence in the mail yesterday and I'm not sure my pockets are that deep. The GT3 is my dream car as well and had to go thru a bit to get it but am extremely glad I was able to acquire one. Gary
  10. I am new to the GT3; now have a 2007 .The transmission seems noisy at idle in neutral but with the clutch in, the noise goes away. Is this normal or an indication that the throwout bearing is bad? Also what are the best and easiest mods to improve the hp? It has a Sharkswerks resonator bypass and sounds great but it doesn't add any hp and may loose a few as I have been told. Any input would be appreciated.
  11. Thanks, I was making it harder than it needs to be. Checked with my dealers parts dept and the harness only runs $52. Should have figured Porsche would have it covered. :D
  12. I replaced the factory rear hatch/spoiler on a 2009 C2 with a GT3 style rear wing and decklid. I removed the limit switches for the factory spoiler and have them tie wrapped with the contacts closed so the computer doesn't think the spoiler has failed but I keep getting an error message to check the spoiler stoplight. Does anyone know how to wire this to keep the message from showing up every time I start the car?
  13. Josh, I have a Fabspeed exhaust on my 2008 TT Cayenne and added the cat bypass pipes for the better sound and was hoping for better performance and fuel economy. As to better performance I have no way of verifying the improvement other than that provided by Fabspeed but my fuel economy improved from around 18mpg highway/12 city to 20 wpg highway/13 city. The mileage was measured over the same route of 1500 highway miles and similar load. The sound is all out the back of the Cayenne without increased cabin noise. Hope that helps.
  14. I removed the 4 screws holding the flat plate with the wiring connector attached. How do I get the plate off the connector? Do I need some adapter to hold the connector?
  15. I checked with RSS for a plenum for my 2008 Cayenne Turbo and they gave me a different part number 95601 so I would assume that they are different. I purchased a plenum for my 2008 911 C4S and would like to think that it makes a difference. The stock plenum for the Cayenne Turbo is more contoured for airflow than the stock plenum for the 911 so I have held off buying one for the Cayenne thinking that I could spend the money elsewhere like catbypass pipes and a new muffler. Hope this helps. gary
  16. Im leaning that way. Where did you see that price? I just went to the site, but couldnt find it. thanks If you call the parts dept. and ask they have them in stock. If you subscribe to Excellence magazine they give a discount. Good luck.
  17. :renntech: I would like to add my 2 cents worth; I had a hard time spending an extra $1000 for after market headers when the X51 headers are $550 thru Sunset Imports. The difference in hp is maybe 2 or 3 at best and they are OEM so there shoul be no warranty issues. :renntech: :renntech:
