  1. I gotta be honest with you... you're dealing with a salvage yard. There is an inherent risk in buying a used anything from there. I have purchased many parts from LA Porsche and have had a great experience. Sure they have messed up the order multiple times, but have always stood there to correct them. They even paid the shipping for their mistakes or refunded the full amount. Don't know if I would spend over a grand at any salvage yard without personally seeing the part first... Just thought I had to give them a good review since everyone else seemed to be slamming them. If you don't like LA Porsche - Try DCAUTO down in Virginia, they are similiar in size.
  2. Anyone have a picture of how to access the rear water drain on a 99 911 coupe. I have the diagram, I'm assuming that it is in the rear driverside wheel well towards the back, but I'm just not seeing it? Do I have to remove the wheel? Any help would be great! Thanks
  3. Hey Everyone, I recently began to notice that the carpets in the back seat has been wet. It seems to be most wet in the center channel on the floor behind the driver seat. The passenger side is dry as a bone. The Water has begun to travel to the front beneath the floor mat. I cleaned the two body drains under the front hood with compressed air. Still wet in the car. All door and sunroof weather stripping looks perfect. Doors and seats are Dry. I have ruled out the A/C. Is there a TSB? Do you think I need to blast out the other two body drains? If so, I kinda know where they are located based upon the body drain diagram I have seen once, but I have no clue how to find/Access them. Car Type: 1999 Porsche 911 C2 Any help? Thanks!
  4. Hey Everyone, Looking for a couple opinions here. I recently Preped my 1999 911 C2 for sale with a 60k service. I changed the belt, plugs, coils, fluids and battery. About 200 miles after I changed the coils and plugs, I noticed a hesitation in my acceleration. This occurs especially when the car is cool (temp outside has been upper 40's to low 60's). I push the accelerator and get a small hesitation followed by a burst of power... kind of feels like a flat spot, I guess. There is no problem idling, and this is not constant, just during acceleration which leaves me to believe that it is not a problem with a mis fire or anything with the plugs. I used the right plugs and coils, per Porsche's TSB. No check engine lights are on. I recently cleaned the throttle body flap with STP and used the fuel injection cleaner... about 150 miles before the service... no luck. Any ideas? Thanks!
  5. Hey Everyone, I need some help here. I have a 1999 Porsche 911 (996) and am looking for spark plugs. I know Bosch and Beru make the Porsche OEM plugs. Beru (Ultra): 6 ea 999 170 207 91 Spark Plugs (Beru 14FGR 6KQU) MY99-MY01 or 6 ea 999 170 223 90 Spark Plugs (Beru FGR 5KQE0) MY02- Bosch: 7413 - FGR 6 KQC MY99-MY01 (Bosch Super) However, for some reason, these OEM plugs are single electrode non-platinum plugs... why? I would think Bosch Platinum +4 or the IR Fusions would be better (Ultra-X Platinum for Beru). I can not for the life of me find a part number or anyone that can help. Is there a reason for this? can anyone offer some insight?
  6. I store mine from around nov 1 to mid march... I store mine in the garage, but start it up every two weeks and let it run for about 10-15 min.
