  1. Check the micro switches on the spoiler linkage to see if they have come loose or unplugged
  2. Before throwing money at it, put the stock chip back in and see what happens Of course the V-Chip guy isn't going to blame the chip
  3. If someone has been in the doors and the rain shield is not fully sealed to the door, it will allow water to enter also
  4. RUF is an aftermarket manufacturer, everything should have a RUF marking and look like it was added on
  5. Why are you replacing the head gasket? oil in the coolant? These cars have a problem with the oil cooler seals leaking oil in to the cooling system and you would think you have a head gasket problem I have never looked at the Haynes I have the factory manuls Is it a turbo, NA or S ?
  6. Here is the trouble shooting for these codes, you must disturbed something while you did your work 996_MISFIRES.pdf
  7. An old bulletin says to clean the connectors dry and apply stabalant 22 on the connectors
  8. As with any trans diagnosis, check fluid level first
  9. The torque multiplier works better, then you are not lugging a 4 foot torque wrench around and you can use an existing 1/2 drive torque wrench. Stahlwille makes a torque multiplier 1/2" in 3/4 " out . 169 ft lbs in will produce 590 ft lbs out Sells for $1500.00 CENTER_NUT.pdf
  10. There are enthusiast kits that have the round or the OBD2 plug. These kits only work with 3 VIN numbers Then there is a pro kit, it has the round and OBD2 plugs. Unlimited VINs The racing kit has the round, OBD2 and the factory race car plug.
  11. Just my honest opinion, all I can say i can say is lets talk in 15 years
  12. If you raise the idle slightly does the vibration get better? If yes then the mounts are toast
  13. I have attached 2 bulletins, 1 is for the old style mounts and the other one is for the new style mount Usually the balance being out of time is really felt at about 3200 rpm CHECKING_MOTOR_MOUNTS.pdf NEW_STYLE_MOUNTS.pdf
