  3. My first no front plate ticket for the Cayenne finally happened over the weekend. It happened in San Francisco Richmand district. I parked with a paid meter and I got a no plate ticket. I have to put the front plate back on for a $10.00 fix ticket instead of $100.00 without fix. Beside using double side tape or valco, does anyone know a way to mount the plate without drilling holes to the bumper? There maybe bracket or someway that could mount the license plate that others have tried. Thanks.
  4. I was trying to remove the plastic cover at the pivot points (item #9) but had differcult. Does anyone know how the plastic cover hold to #12? EDIT: I got it. It is just push in and clips on the the rod. I just need to force and pull it forward.

  8. There is a emergency release near the front passenge size inner wheel well for the 996. See if the same thing for the 997?
  9. I storage my RX-7 & Impala in the last 10 years by using only the battery maintainers and inflate tires to 55psi. Never had any problem. I rolled the cars back & forward few feet every 3 months. The gas tanks of both cars were low during storage. I will have to start to use gas stabilizer next time when I take it out of storage. Once a year, the engine starts no problem but the car feel like lost power. I am sure it is the old gas.
  10. WOW, they were $49.99 & $56.99 few months ago at the Costco in Fosty City.
  11. I have bi-xenon in my 2002 C4 Cab. Unlike my Cayenne or some other German auto, my C4 doesn't do a self adjust when the car starts.

  14. CDN Porsche Dealer not servicing US Imports? http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforums/show...ighlight=canada
  15. I have heard from other fourm that most Canadian Porsche Dealer DO NOT (refuse) service vehicle imported from US.
  16. This is not for my 996 but this is a tech question may be someone can help me. I have a set of wheels from a different car that fit on my RX-7 except the centerbore is a little too small and needs to be enlarged. I called local automotive/machine shops and they don't seem to have equipment large enough to fit a wheel on it. Has anyone had this done and what type of shop did it? Thanks.
  17. I have the same car as yours. I upgraded my suspension to ROW M030 few months ago, the shop took a little more than a day to finish the work. This was an independent shop and not a Porsche dealer. The dealer might take less time. I know the guy at the shop so he gave me a killing deal. I know other people paid from $800.00 to $1500.00 labor depend on shop or Porsche dealer. I got quote from local dealer for around $1300.00 labor.
  18. Can anyone recommend a reputable body shop in the SF Area? Someone backed into my CS yesterday. The right side of rear bumper fall off and need to be replaced. No major damage, the insurance is going to cover but I have to pay for the deductable. I need to bring it to a quality body shop to have it taken care of it. Thanks.
  19. Smelvis, I need some body work for mine. I search and found this posting. Carlsen Porsche, the dealership doesn't have a body shop. The one you used was it Mathew Carsen Body Works at Palo Alto? George
  20. I was thinking the same way for a Carrera as well. Any one has a picture of a Speed Yellow Carrera Cab with a black hardtop?
  21. If the calipers are original, Carrera 4 narrow body standard with silver calipers. The engine lid's Carrara 4 logo is silver as well.
  22. I also thank for the infomation as I have to apply a protecting coat pretty soon for my Cab. Question, is the RaggTop for the canvas top just the same or as good to the one offer by Porsche?
  23. Hi all, After upgraded red calipers & and ROW M030, I have all these parts left in my garage. I know I can put the OEM SILVER (C4) calipers on ebay to get some money but no ideal how much. Do people buy old OEM suspension? Question is, should I sell all these parts? I don't think I will put them back into my car, or it's not worth it. I want to ask people before I put on the ebay or the for sale section, thanks.
