  1. Even the delay & hesitation problem is fixed last month, but the car still doesn't feel right. The transmission always feel like at the wrong gear at different speed when accerate and doesn't shift when it suppose to. My dealer called me yesterday and the parts for the new recalls has came in. One of the item they will replace is a update transmission control unit. I will bring the car in a week later. Hope this will address the only problem I have for my 05 CS.

  2. Kirby,

I was planning to do it this afternoon but went in to couple problem. First I can't get power from the fuse box like becuase #48 is used by my air suspension. I also want to install a FM modulator as well and found the antenna adapter I have doesn't work with the PCM. I think I will just get the power from the PCM to power the FM mudulator & V1. I checked this after and found out once the right side fuse box open, it is very easy to run the wire from the A-Piller to the rear mirror. I will wait for the antenna adapter arrive and do both later.

  3. I order mine few weeks ago and asked my dealer to see if there any instruction with the kit. The answer was "no" for the mud guards. The kit seems to have more screw that it needs. I found there are marks at the wheel well (either front or back, no both) for the holes to be drills. I was thinking to put mine on this weekend but it seems better with the wheels off for the hole drilling. Maybe few months later when my tire need rotation.

  4. I took my 05 CS to my dealer yesterday for the acceleration delay problem. The dealer found the problem is from a loose connection at the air mass sensor/kickdown adaptation. My CS has no more delay and has very good response now . The gas pedal feels different than before too. I don't know is this the same problem for most of the 03 & 04, but my delay problem has nothing to do with the software or control unit.

By the way, my car had this problem very first when I got it with less than 10 miles. The service manager said they should catch it during the factory inspection. I am starting to worry about Porsche Cayenne's quality control.

  5. This morning I tried to install the skid plate as insturction provied by SANDOVAL. I can't get the front bumper to come out. I had all the screws removed, the wheel well, under the bumper, & top of the bumper under the hood. I just can't find the lever that SANDOVAL decripted in his instruction. I stucked and finally put everything back together.

SANDOVAL, did you take a picture where those levers locate? Anyone, please help if you have the bumper removal instruction. I don't my 05 bumper is any different to 04. Thanks.

  6. I can't program my new CS's Homelink to my Genie garage door opener. It is a 2 years old Genie Intellicode garage door opener. I had no problem with my other cars' homelink except the new CS. I reset (erase) both the garage door opener receiver & the CS Homelink transmitter but still not able to get it to work. I checked the manual and it seems no different to program as the other cars. The CS works with other brand garage with dip switch remote but just can't work the the Genie Intellicode. I tried both garage doors and the problem is not the garage door opener. Do you guys have any problem with Genie Intellicode? Any trick? or time to the dealer? Thanks for any help

  7. After over 4 months of waiting, it is finally here. I drove 3 hours from the Bayarea to pick it up at Fresno. It's a 05, so far haven't noticed any problem report like some 04, no vibration at speed near 60-80 mph. Had some problem using the remote key and the rear window, just need to read the manual later. So far, I only get 15 mpg at freeway & 11 mpg for city. Hope this number increase after break-in.
