  4. I ended up destroying the latch/actuator assembly with an air chisel from inside and getting the door open. It takes 2 people and a delicate trigger finger. No surprise that Porsche had the latch in stock. These latches should really be under recall. Hope this helps someone else.
  5. I have a 2001 911 Carrera Cabriolet that has a stuck passenger door. It won't open from the inside or outside. The power lock actuator works. I have peeled the door panel off with the door shut and am able to see the linkage move (with a mirror of course). I am suspecting the door lock acutuator/latch assembly is defective. The question is how do I open the door to replace the part. I have exhaused myself with different options. The power lock actuator definitely moves when cycled. I had a VW with this problem and ended up destroying the latch. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.
