  1. After having the convenience of Nav on the Cayenne, I'm considering of upgrading the OEM stereo equipment on the 996 to an aftermarket system with GPS Nav. The system will include the following: 1. Kenwood DVD/CD/MP3 Monitor Receiver Utilizing double-DIN dash 2. Kenwood DVD Navigation Installed in the bonnet 3. CD changer Installed in the bonnet 4. MB Quart 4-channel amp Installed in the bonnet 5. MB Quart QSD 4" 2-way speakers 2 pairs for front dash mount and rear fill 6. MB Quart QSD 164 6.5" mid-bass Door mount 7. Kenwood power subwoofer mounted under the seat I'm looking for a clean sounding system, nothing obnoxious and loud. Suggestions? Since I'm doing the installation myself, I have a few questions: 1. Will 6.5" fit in the factory door location w/o major modification or would 5.25" fit better? 2. What's the best way to run the wire from the bonnet to the passenger compartment? 3. I'm also installing a reverse sensor. How can I run a wire from the rear bumper to the interior space? 4. Do I need special tool to remove the head unit? Thank you for any input! :)
  2. Has anyone tried retrofitting the X50 onto a standard TT?
  3. Thanks, Loren! Is that the same TT spoiler lip that's part of the 000 044 801 99 aerokit? Do you know of any similar aftermarket spoiler lip for TT? I remember seeing a carbon fiber spoiler lip on a TT once.
  4. I'm thinking of replacing the front bumper lower lip spoiler on my Turbo with the one from the Turbo aero kit. However, the aerokit is sold only in conjuction with the rear fixed wing. Is there any aftermarket front bumper lip spoiler available? Thank you for any suggestions! :help:
  5. After driving my new Cayenne Turbo for the last month, I've discovered how practical GPS Nav is. I would like to install Kenwood double-din monitor/DVD/head unit with Nav and CD changer in my 01 996 Turbo. While I'm at it, the car will get new speakers, amp, and a sub. Has anyone done this? I think I can find most of the wires neccessary for the installation. The only one I'm unsure of is the speed sensor for the Nav. Any help is greatly appreciated! :)
  6. I was also pondering on the same topic. Since the changes between 04 and 05 are minimal, I decided to get a 04 CTT because I couldn't wait another month for the 05. Like Joe stated, 05 will not have much discount, making 04 a better buy. I took delivery of the car just a few days ago and I'm totally lovin' it! :jump:
