  1. Just an update. I was able to buy a new regulator on line from out of state Porsche Dealer for about $450 and negotiated installation at local dealer for $320.
  2. I would appreciate any input on how to replace the right rear window regulator for my 2000 C4 Cabriolet. I hear the motor on the regulator work however the window does not come up. Dealer said the the railing and regulator is one piece which need to be replaced and wants over $1200 to replaced it. Thanks in advance.
  3. For thoes who are intrested to find out what was going on. Dealer found the brake pad dampeners loose. They bleed brakes, R/R all pads and replaced noise dampners. I hope this will resolve the noise.
  4. It is black but I don't see any stripes.
  5. It happened yesterday again after driving in stop and go traffic in Los Angeles. This is a very loud and long embarrassing noise you don’t expect from high end car! It sounds like what you hear from old trailers breaking. Is there anything can be done? My car is still under factory warranty.
  6. Thank Loren, Do you know what caused the very loud squeaky noise. It happened several times yesterday. Since I have washed the car, I have not been able to duplicate the noise again. Is it possible that the break pads where dry????
  7. How can I find out what version PCCB I have on my 2005 TTs (US) which was manufactured on January 2005. Today I heard real loud squeaky noise when I was breaking several times :o . I have only 10k on my car. I appreciate your advise.
  8. I have 2005 TTs and wondering if wheels from 997 Turbo are compatible with my car. I have seen wheels with following sizes: 235/ 35 19, 19 X 8.5 with 56mm offsets front and 305 30 19, 19x11 with 51mm offsets rear Thanks in advance.
  9. Conversion Rule: To convert from Gallons to Liters, multiply the number of Gallons by 3.7854 and, to convert from Liters to Gallons, multiply the number of Liters by 0.26417
  10. Please suggest a trustworthy and reasonable shop for service (oil, brakes, etc.) in Santa Monica, Venice or West Los Angeles area. Thanks is advance.
  11. Perhaps I have solved part of the puzzle. When I look at pictures above I see that on my instrument dial the digits are allowing light through. ??????
  12. I am the second owner and just bought the car. I asked the previous owner and he did not change anything. The dealer tell me that "the custom tailoring option prevented the use of use of the"Turbo S" instrumetn cluster background" which does not make any sense. Also they have not provided explantion on the "Inst Dials Yelw Red White Blue" option". I am also in touch with PORSCHE USA, they initially referred me to the Dealer but now are lookin into these matters themselves. This is picture of instrument cluster of my car.
  13. That is right. 2005 is the only year 996TT s was offered. Mine is also 2005. Based on my research I have not seen any other one without "Turbo S" LOGO on tachometer. Thanks again for providing the option list. However, I am still concern about following: "1. There is no "Turbo S" logo on center inst dial and just say "turbo". 2. My car supposed to have exclusive option "Inst Dials Yelw Red Whit Blue" which cost $1270, however I don't see any difference with 996TT s which do not have this option."
  14. My instrument dials are red with aluminum gauge. I have looked at many 996TTs and all of them are similar to the pictures attached. However, on mine instead of "turbo s" it just say "turbo".
  15. Hello Loren; Would you please help me by providing option list on my US 996TT s? The VIN: WP0CB29915S675534. There are two things that I am concern and the dealer has not provided satisfactory response. 1. There is no "Turbo S" logo on center inst dial and just say "turbo". 2. My car supposed to have exclusive option "Inst Dials Yelw Red Whit Blue" which cost $1270, however I don't see any difference with 996TT s which do not have this option. Is this a possible mis build? Thank you in advance.
