  1. Dennis, I will do some leg work, but Cat bypass? Is that legal? I live in CA and cats are required.... is it a true bypass or is there a secondary cat?
  2. Yeah, it's the same everywhere. Porsche, Merc, BMW, GM..... all the same. Someone who really understands timing, fuel delivery, combustion et al can really make impressive improvements to factory settings with little more than the right program and a cheap laptop... sure wish we could find that computer hacker for the Porsche........... I might be willing to donate to the "hacker fund" if it was a realistic possiblity....
  3. SKL, are you still around? I just bought an 04 S and will be looking to update all the nav and any other updates they may have...
  4. Has anyone made any progress with this? My father has access to this stuff for GM, Ford and Chry products, but not yet for the Porsche. I also have a 2008 Silverado that he reprogramed the PCM and it made huge differences! They have dyno results that show 65 HP gains along with 2-3 mpg gains on the 6.0L GM! Increadible gains for the price (about 350 bucks) and completely programable for different octane, tire, tranny... I have been looking for something along these lines for the Cayenne, but to no avail....
  5. Hello to all! I am a new member to both the Forum and the Porsche Family. I recently bought a 2004 Cayenne S with most of the goodies. It is in incredible condition and has just over 50K miles on it. It is a blast to drive (when I get to drive it) but I am looking for some go fast goodies. I know, the easy solution would have been to buy the Turbo, but this one came to me at a deal too good to turn down. I come from a car family and love to work on them myself. I have had everything from a 78 Pontiac to an 06 Mini and everything in between and always found ways to make them better. I have been hunting around the internet for a good forum with knowlegable people and I think I have found it. I am hoping that there are some other P owners here that share my spirit for improving what is already great! If there are already posts on these kind of mods, please direct me to them. Any help would be great! One note to the Admin: if you need someone to photo document certain DIY jobs (oil change for example) please let me know and I will get it done! Thanks for all the help!
