  1. Any update on your issue. Mine does the same thing. Mine does beep 2 times.
  2. I just bought a 2000 996 convertible. It did not come with the rear shelf that covers the hydraulics. Part# 996.551.035.01.B04. I have been having a little difficulty finding the part used and even wondering it its important to have in place. The top still operates great and the rear window is perfect so the lack of the part has not hurt the top. I usually don't have the top up and that is the only time you can see the carpet is through the window when its up. Thanks and great to be back!!!!
  3. i saw one of our posts say that you had the Carrera rims on your Boxster. Did you have to use spacers? how was the set up. Thanks, Don

  4. Izzy, I have the solenoid seal if you would like it. Part#99610522352. Brand new. I was getting ready to do mine until I sold mine and got another. Let me know!!!
  5. I de-snorkeled my 2005 987. I was getting 23.2 miles per gallon before I did the mod. I drove for about 500 miles in mixed driving. Now I get an average of 20.8 after the mod with about 500 miles of mixed driving. I may have lost a little just because I was driving harder to hear the air intake. I can hear a little differance and will probably keep the mod on there. It was not as dramatic a change as it was on my 986.
  6. Yes I sold whole car actually and the old tips thanks

  7. Welcome!. I also had a 1999 986 and just bought a 2005 987 about 3 months ago. The two cars are both incredible but the 2005 is a much better driver and so far just as reliable as my 99. I never really had that many problems to begin with. The RMS on the 2005 (m96) engine were a little problamatic (per this forum) but was improved with the 2006 model year. Mine had an engine replacment with a 2006. Lots of good info here to give you more specifics...
  8. Has anyone tried this or is it even possible on the 987 to reseal the bolts? Mine is not bad. However, I took it to two dealers. One was going to charge me $2,400.00 the other was $1,000.00 or $1,100.00 with an oil change. I really dont want to spend the money right now since it only leaks after sitting a few days and it does not sit very often!!
  9. I only do mine one time per year right before winter storage.
  10. Got the decals today. Spent about 2 hours making sure they looked right and taking the old decal off. Nice decals from Zedex.
  11. where did you end up ordering from? Zedex did send them to me. I believe it was a one off.
  12. So the decal's are on the way. Now any suggestions on how to make sure it is placed correclty?
  13. Hi Don. The #s are in the mail and from what the lady tells me,7 to 10 business days.

    Have a good one.:)

    Regards

    Colin

  14. I went to my local dealer MAG and they said they could not locate any info on it. I wonder if it is becasue they are in Ohio and the Car came from Arizona?
