  1. Brad is that a picture of your Porsche? I think I saw It in barstow, Except the scoop was a perfect match to the custom car paint.
  2. No problem linking things up, NO it didn't include the linkage kit. I bought it from ebay and it came with 2 seatbelt schnell wraps. Just buy it and ENJOY!
  3. I purchased the schnell short shifter and it has worked well for me. The instructions are simple and easy to use. They do not come with a small tube of grease which I recommend you get. Perfect fit and makes a big difference... makes you ask yourself "How come I didn't buy one sooner".
  4. I would like to hard wire my tom tom but I don't know where to draw the power from. I know most people get it from the fuse box but Im not sure which fuse to attach the positive cable to,an where to plug the negative? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated thank you in advance.
  5. Thanks for the reply Glyn, that's the kind of answer I was expecting not the slap on the hand don't do it approach stated by others. I never force my gears or grind the box, It would be stupid of me to do on a fine german car like ours. Since I don't race, redline or peel-off or do any crazy thing on my porsche, Im sure It will last a long time. Thanks
  6. As I have a heineken, I apologize for my UPPER CAPS use. Like Mt everest, it's there so climb it, I too feel that way. If I can shift it then I will do so. Am I wrong? ohh well only my wallet will tell. Sorry for the short temper, call it PDS. GOD LOVE AMERICA.
  7. HEY, EVERYONE IS TREATING ME LIKE IM A YOUNG PUNK, IM MEARLY ASKING IF IT'S OK TO SHIFT CLUTHLESS ON A BOXSTER, NOT PERMISSION TO DO SO. IM DOING IT BECAUSE THE CAR ALLOWS ME TO,NOT BECAUSE IM SOME IDIOT THAT CAN DO IT.
  8. I don't speed shift, I shift when the tranny allows me to and thats usually at about 2.5k to 3.5 so it's relatively slow. I do it because I get tired of shifting!. I do not downshift without a clutch.
  9. I've owned my boxster for 4 years now and I usually shift without the clutch(except first and down shifting). Will there be problems in the future or am I ok since I don't grind the gears or jolt the car when I shift? Am I the only knuckle head that does this?
  10. YES desnorkled! No I told them not the wash the engine but like an idiot, I forgot to tell them not to trow water into the side vent (intake).
  11. So after I had the guys detail my car it sat around for 6 hrs or so then I tried to start it and it ideled rough and the cel light came on and a few seconds later it ideled normally. So I raned an erand and the car worked fine until this morning when it did it again. Did the guys put water into the exhaust are any sensors damaged? The car runs great without any problem exept at start up. Any help would be apreciated. 2004 2.7 speed yellow 30kmiles. UPdate: I unplugged the battery for and hour then it worked fine, light went a way. This morning the same thing happened again but the cel did not lit up. After 5-10 secs it works fine again.
  12. Ok I opened the front.. no light. I leave front open, then I open the rear and BOTH lights go on! I close the rear.... front turns off! what the...
  13. So my light does not light up, I checked the bulb and it's good. Can anyone share some suggestions? I can't even find the light trigger switch around the hood :(
  14. I am a proud owner of a 2004 Boxster(speed yellow), I have always used regular unleaded. I remember putting super unleaded maybe twice in it's life time. I use regular unleaded because of the price but also because the car ran smooth and responsive, so my question is...Is there really a difference between regular and super? Will I start having problems with the car? It has 30k miles and from what I read It's in a delicate stage of it's life. Any opinions are welcome, Thanks
  15. The biggest reason why I removed them was for performance. The way I had them done would allow me to slip the cats back in place before an emission test. I never gave the environment any thought, does that make me a bad person? As far as performance is concerned it was worth it the best mod I ever made.
  16. Thank you rick300, Im glad your smart enough to understand the question. I agree the body is better on the 04. An if you were to put them next to each other someone with limited porsche knowledge would have a problem judging the year.
  17. If you had to choose between these two models with identical milage, condition, treatment which one would you choose? The 04 or the 05 and why? Thanks.
  18. So my stock michellins had to be replaced after 26k miles. I wasn't able to afford the michellins so I opted for the cheap BF Goodridge (600 for 4 tires) and now after fast turns I feel like the car "slides" when I make fast turns. The rear tires are over inflated by 5psi's. Question is this, If I was to drop the tire pressure back to normal or even drop it under by 5 psi's would I get better grip? Thanks
  19. I also feel it was a mech failure and not Porsche's fault. A mechanic could of easily put too much silicone or sealant and when he tighten the bolts/nut the silicone was squeezed out and the remainder was pushed in into the engine casing and out of the engine casing. This is clearly a mechanic error. What kind of repairs do you have to get done to the car so it can be back in running condition? Good luck
  20. I like what you and your brother have done, Two suggestions about your ad, can you tell people how hard it is to find someone to do the job and how expensive it is? That way they realize that with your kit they wont have to RISK IT. Second can you also tell customers that it also works with BOSE base system? You have an amazing product and I wish you and your brother good luck.
  21. Does the size increase throw the speed reading and odometer off?
  22. Finally someone that can back up what I said before. Thank you roadracer311
