  1. I have a 1998 996 carrera 2 cabrio which was not driven for several months. When I started it up the D and 4 lights were flashing and I could not shift gears manually. Car drives and shifts normally in auto mode. Dura metric reads code "P0705 upshift downshift switch". Does this refer to a problem with the steering wheel switch or the selector lever? Incidentally the alternator regulator was also shot and was just replaced. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

  3. Thanks for that guys, I'll start investigating further and let you know what I find. Yes it is a tiptronic.
  4. Hi Several months ago my 98 C2 cabrio developed a loss of power. Acceleration is poor and not as smooth as it should be and wont rev past 5000. Replaced spark plugs and coils but no improvement. Bought a durametric recently and it shows the following codes: p0150, p1128, p1130, p123, p1125 and p1689. Can someone help with interpreting this array of codes? Thanks
