  1. I have a whole motor in Seattle. Here is my thread. http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=22116
  2. You will NEVER get a motor rebuild with parts for 4K it will be more like 7-8K, the parts are not mass produced like a SB Chevy you can order from Jegs. I personal y would rather have a rebuilt then a new motor since when you rebuid it you improve all the weak points.
  3. That looks like a WOT Mis-shift like 1st-2nd-3rd-4th-2nd.
  4. Yep different part number! Thanks for the part number for the 964 motor mount. Unfortunately they cost 2x more then the 993 ones. And on top of that the ABS controller cost another 1600 bux....Jeez I am going to go broke doing this.
  5. Do yourself a BIG favor take it to Gerber and make sure Charles D works on it. There is no one I have met that knows these motors more in and out. He has worked at the local Pcar dealer and was there main engine R&R person. http://www.gerbermotorsport.com/
  6. does anyone know the part number for the C2 engine mount? My Dealer parts guy said their are two variations of the same same part one is 65 for two and the the other is 130 for one.
  7. shameless plug!!!! I have a 2000 3.2 that has a some leakdown issue that will need new rings to be 100%. The motor has 52000 miles and still runs fine but I am adding a 3.6 to my "mod list". I will be selling my 3.2 for 3500USD. PM me if anyone is interested. I will be taking the car on a 300+ mile trip this week with the 3.2 still in it so yes it does still run good.
  8. This is the information I needed. I have purchased the 3.6 with 40K miles on it, 996 instrument cluster, and lightweight flywheel. According to what you wrote above I WILL need the 7.8 DME and a few connectors for my 2000 Boxster S. Thanks for all you detailed info I have used it and questioned my mechanic that will be doing the work and the tuning company providing the software. I take your knowledge very seriously as you have done this and they have not yet. I look to have my kit in in the next month. Josh Now a supporting member
  9. Mine gets the best milage out of any car in the garage. 01 Jeep Grand Cherokee LTD 31" AT/3" Lift/K&N 13.1. 05 John Cooper Works Mini Cooper S 30 MPG 00 Porsche Boxster S Super Charged among a whole long list of mods.. 34MPG HWY (When I keep my foot out of it so like twice per year)
  10. You are a little confused, I did the swap not IA. Unlike the swap done by FVD on Dave's car, all my systems work including the cruise control, which last time I heard FVD still hadn't figured out how to get Dave's to work. Todd I know you did the work but I thought iA did the tunning. BTW is this the same Todd from the KCWS?
  11. Very cool project man! I wish I had done this 2 years ago. Dave in NJ had FVD install a 3.8 in a 2000 S. Many issues revolved around the tuning how did iA overcome this issue?
  12. So I guess I was screwed by this guy. I gave him my stock tail lights with the promiss that he would install my rear window in Feb I purchased from him. Long story short no word or anything. I guess I should have known better. Here is the most recent contact I had with him. I have since emailed him and PM'd him a number of times........... Josh The 100 like we talked about before is fine. I think you have my email but if not my paypal email is: Thanks Josh
  13. Make sure you give me a heads up/and send me a few pics so I can use it on my SC system PLEASE.
  14. Nice picture. When are you going to be back in town?
  15. Part is the number 4 in pic. I agree last year when I did the AOS I went through Sunset, but this time the car was at the shop and in pcs.
  16. Glad I could help. Sorry for not having much time the other day I was at lunch with 2 customers. Car looks great!
  17. correct Stefan - per what I was told by sunset - revision .04 comes w/ the bellows Nope...Just purchased last week 118 bucks for the AOS and $65 for the newest version of the lower Bellow tube.
  18. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE listen. I DYI'd the AOS last year and did not change the bottom tube because I was told it was always the top the had the issue. Recently the car had been dumping oil on the ground. I just had a friend of mine who is a Porsche cup car mech. dig into it to find the root of the issue. After removing a ton of oil from the engine compartment we found the bottom tube had cracked and split and was indeed the issue in question. So if you do do the AOS PLEASE change that piece also. Trust me otherwise you will not drive the car and the drop another grand into finding what the problem is. __________________
  19. FYI... I still have my stock tail lights when I switched to the clear ones if you are interested.
