  1. While decelerating down a hill today in my '03 C4S (45k miles), my oil warning light on the onboard computer flashed and simultaneously beeped, and then disappeared from the readout, with everything going back to normal. I drove for another 15 minutes with no problem and checked the oil level when I stopped which was full. I just got an oil change about 50 miles ago. Any ideas? Thanks, Tom
  2. Wow, I didn't know that excessive changing of synthetic oil could actually be bad. My last car was an '03 BMW X5 and I changed the oil (also synth) every 5,000 miles and it kept things nice. Maybe this will become an annual event since I only plan on putting 7,000 miles on per year. As far as the synth oil to use, any recommendations?
  3. I am getting the oil changed next week for the first time since purchasing my '03 C4S, which I bought last month with 39,000 miles on it. (The prior owner had the oil last changed at 37,000 mi.). After this, I continue to plan on changing it every 3,000 miles. I was wondering if anyone here knew how much oil the car should use in those 3,000 miles between oil changes? I would like to monitor the oil consumption. Thanks!
  4. Here's a pic of my new (to me) '03 C4S, arctic silver, black interior.
  5. Try turning the bass down -3. I have the Bose in my C4S and the low end was driving me nuts. I am pretty particular about my sound (musician/producer) and this seems to have improved the sound by 100%.
  6. I agree that the velcro ain't cutting it. My driver side mat slips all over the place, so I ordered a new set of Lloyds with the C4S embroidery.
  7. After a little more digging, I found there are basically 3 options... 1) use the mod described in the link above (Yoseif Whiteson's mod where you jump the fuse box) 2) buy and install a new "canadian" relay (can anyone do this?) 3) turn the lights on yourself everytime you get in the car I did do a keyword search on "Daytime Running Lights" on this forum and came up with alot of info. This site is a great resource!
  8. Has anyone bought one of these kits to allow your daytime running lights to be on all the time? There is one on ebay for $10 bucks, and I do like the aspect of keeping the running lights on for safety reasons, but don't want to screw up my car. Also, if you've done this, will it wear down your battery? Thank you, Tom
  9. Thanks all. It is a CPO until 12/08 and it is now mine! Cheers!
  10. Yup, that is what I saw too. Lots of black dots...anyone else have this experience? Thanks!
  11. Hi folks, I am a first time poster and am considering buying an '03 C4S. I just got the new Consumer Reports today, and for reasons unknown to me, it disses the '03 911s. Can anyone here shed light on this? I know a few people who have '03s and they love them, but are there things to watch out for (besides the RMS) on the 2003 model year? Thank you for any information on this, and hope to be a regular contributor soon.
