  1. I would only put it on a brand new car. By the time I thought of it I already had a couple of scratches,WTF. I have seen some really crappy jobs, so beware. Personally, I got a bra from porsche (120$) and I mount it for track days, long trips etc.
  2. I put my B-M in by just disconnecting the cables at the shift tower and then just snapping them back on(Porsche Method) and not messing with adjusting the cables at all. It was a breeze, works perfectly. Thanks Tool Pants. BTW I've seen a lot of discussion re billet shift ends, worth it, needed?
  3. Loren, Is there any way to remove the actual slats/blades and the control wheel? I want to paint these to match the rest of my aluminum look package. Chris
  4. You should make a small donation to renntech, see bottom of board.
  5. Looks to me like you want to jumper pin 2 to pin 5 to turn the spoiler dash light off. And, you will need to use pin 8 for stoplight power and pin 5 for stop light ground. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Loren, Thanks, looks too complicated for me, I'll go with the 51 harness. Still not clear on the 04 harness, don't think it supports a break light. Chris
  6. Loren, What do I have to do to jump the pin on the existing harness? I checked with the dealer they are stumped as to which harness to use to maintain a breaklight.
  7. Doug, Dump the PSE's and get some GHL's, you won't be sorry and you'll have 800$ in your back pocket. Chris
  8. Loren, Help! I purchased a custom made GT2 style rear wing for my C4S(03 996). It replaces the stock retractable wing, much like the aero/taco style wing. My question is about the stock wiring harness. Can I just use the stock harness and just not hook up the motor(for ret spoiler), while connecting to the 3rd break light which the new wing uses? :notworthy:
  9. Can anybody suggest a quality aftermarket spoiler for a 03 996 C4S. The porsche tequipment aero model is just too costly for me.(3000$)
  10. I've heard the Fabspeed system, it sounds good. It's half the price of PSE. Personally, I have the GHL system, it sounds awsome, quite while putting around but sounds like a cup car when you get into it. very high quality workmanship as well. I don't see any problem with aftermarket mufflers, they sound good, cost a fraction of PSE and don't affect the warranty at all.
  11. I would love to get a hold of a GT3. However, I must have backseats. Can they be safely/easily/legally retrofit? Help tool pants and loren. :help:
  12. Thanks Loren, that's kind of what I thought too. You saved me some angst.
  13. Does anybody know if a C4S 996 '03 has the same exhaust as a std 996, my dealer says it is a different part no. and may be somewhat of an upgrade over the standard exhaust ? I'm about to upgrade the exhaust and would be interested to know that first.
