  1. Loren, Got this code, how can I access the evap cannister to RR it? (07 997tt) TIA c
  2. The only thing I hated about them was their weight. Also, on the track, after a few cycles they are very slippery. I went back to N rated cups.
  3. Doing my 997tt this weekend, wish me luck, supposedly it's worse than a 996tt.
  4. Thanks, if I just drop the headers and turbos, possibly the ICs I think I'll be able to reach the plugs. Those **** VTGs make it a ***** and a half to do!
  5. Any DIY info on doing the plugs on my turbo (07 997 tt), I'm planning on doing it this weekend, I know I have to take off the bumper, ICs,headers, possibly the turbos as well. Any helpful hints? Loren? TIA C
  6. They also have a pressure clip. thanks again. Addendum; just did the fr/rears 1.5hrs. Not too keen on the rear setup, now you gotta pull the caliper to put the pads in, prefer the old 996 style. Overall, easy DIY job.
  7. Getting ready to do some pads, noticed the sensors are quiet different, any DIY tips? TIA Chris
  8. Anybody know the thread size on the valve stems? I crossthreaded the tire inflation pump, need to clean up the threads. I believe it's a std shrader valve, but can't seem to find a tap anywhere?
  9. Fabspeed without a doubt. Call Joe or Jay, they will hook you up, great customer service after the sale too!
  10. Actually, the #14 tag is pointing right at the hole where the bolt goes. Oh well, thanks anyway. Does this mean I stumped Loren;)?
  11. When I changed out the exhaust I took the shields off from around the turbos. I know they fit over 3 of the 4 main studs, but thay also attach at the most lateral aspect of each one with a small bolt...which I lost. Those small lateral ones are the bolts in question.
  12. The small turbo shield itself, #14 on the diagram.
  13. Loren, do you have the pn or know the size of the small lateral bolts that attach the heat shield to the turbo. lost during a exhaust swap. TIA Chris
  14. I banged on it with a rubber mallet, the passenger side(the dull one) has a clear rattle. I believe the emissions system has a 100k warranty, besides I replaced them about 1.5 yrs ago under warranty, so I should be covered.
  15. I've had an annoying rattle for about a yr now, I think it's one of the cats. When I trap it with a mallet one sounds dull, the other hollow. Loren, any advice? TIA CH
  16. Just wondering what the signs/symptoms of a failing IS might be. Mine has a faint rattle, dealer said it's just the rt sided muffler. A guy with a TT on another board had a much louder, but similar sound on his TT that turned out to be a IS. Car runs and drives great, has had 'rattle ' over a yr. TIA CH
  17. Hey Loren et el, happy turkeyday! Does anybody have a diy with pics on clutch replacement on a '03 c4s? TIA
  18. Making the switch from a 996C4S to a 997TT. I see that the SSK option is no longer available. I have an oem 996 ssk, will that fit the 997TT? Is the 997TT already 15% shorter than the std 997? TIA Chris
  19. At one time I had a BM shifter in the car, when I installed it, had to bust out the stock plastic/nylon bushings. Now I want to put a stock shifter back in, can I buy those bushigs anywhere? The BM is long gone, or I would have just used them. Help Loren, TIA
  20. I think the wheel carriers are the main thing. Be careful out there.
  21. Rotors are brand new. Jacked it up, squeels on turning, seems like the top of the sring perch or the tie rod end. No play whatsoever. The car has the X73 installed last yr.
  22. Loren, I have a strange problem. Only after the car's been run hot for awhile, I get a noticable squeeling from the left front wheel/steering, only on hard L/R turns. When the car is cold or the ambient temp is less than 80, no issues. What's going on, wheel bearing?
  23. Do you have anything plugged into the cig lighter? Mine did the same thing with a radar detector, when I unpluged it, problem gone. Wireless detectors for me!
