  1. There's a 2001 TT with only 5300 miles on it that is for sale that I will be looking at. What concerns would you have with a car seven years old with mileage that low? Obviously I'll have to find out what maintenance/TSB work has been done over the years and if I like it I will get a PPI done. I'm just wondering what I should look out for and what maintenance work I would have to do right away (and cost) if things haven't been done the last couple of years. Thanks
  2. Thanks for the replies. I'll see what I can negotiate. The CPO is swaying me towards the purchase. I plan to trade up in two years so it will be under warranty during my ownership. I just didn't want to have to keep dealing with repairs even if it is under warranty so I was just curious if two replacements indicated more will follow or if the newer seals seem to be working.
  3. So I'm ready to dive in and purchase a clean 04 C4S with 34k with Bi-xenon, power seats, full leather, and the Bose stereo. It's at a Porsche dealer and is CPO. I reviewed the CPO inspection sheet and they replaced the battery and four new tires (Continentals). The RMS was replaced after the inspection (11/07). I asked them if it had been replaced before and they checked their records and it was replaced in 9/06 during the 30k service. Should I be concerned that it has been replaced twice? They said the 11/07 work was with the latest version and they have had a lot of luck with the latest version. Is that right? The car is a clean one owner car that was serviced at this dealer and drove well. Any input would be helpful. I'm going back in tomorrow with my trade in to see if we can come to an agreement. They're asking $57k but I'm hoping to get it for $50-52k.
