  1. Finally changing throttle valve helped we this issue, Boxster S 2000. P1502, finally brought me to change the throttle valve unit. First tried the one of friends car (the same) and knew enough, problem was fianlly solved. After changing mass meter and all other electric things, it finally was the throttle valve. good luck , Boris
  2. Hi porsche fans, this is borisboem again cause my car is still not running. U know i had this electrical problem with my boxster S. Bad running engine on 1500 RPE max, no gaspedalreaction/acyivity probably caused by giving starthelp to another car. OBDII code 1502 is showing up all the time, maf sensor and throttle body are already replaced. Do u ever heard of problems after giving starthelp? Do u think its dangerous to use the MAF sensor and throttle body of another boxster. I can use a friends boxster S form 2001, i have a 2000 S, to replace parts and to see whats is the problem. U know i had this P1502 code, replaced MAF and throttle but its still the same problem. I dont want my friend to have problems with his car after that and i am, kind of responsible for that. I mean about resetting and using different DME's with this parts, is that not risky? I appreciate if u will reply on this issue cause two different porschecar dealers here in Holland cant find the problem. Boris
  3. Hi guy, hope u are still member here, cause its an old discussion here. I have exactly same problem with my boxster S, 2000. Replaced MAF and throttle body. The car is running ok in emergency program when i disconnect MAF, so the pedal sensor must be good, but for the rest is the same as your situation. I am wondering, how did u finally find out and fixed it?? Thanks Boris
  4. the maf is changed but same OBDII code, 1502, which says change throttle body. Imo, where find this vacuum leak? Boris
  5. thanks a lot Loren, I will change the trottle body, unforgenatly quite expensive here, 800 euros, but if then the problem is over. Will let u know Boris P1502 Throttle Jacking Unit, Spring Test – Above Limit It says: Replace throttle part. Perform adaptation. 1. Switch on the ignition. 2. Wait one minute. Do not press the accelerator. 3. Switch off the ignition for at least 10 seconds. 4. Read out the fault memory.
  6. today, garage was cleaning throttle valve body, no change of OBD II fault, 1502. U think have to repair. thanks Stefan, Boris
  7. Loren, UBD II code is 1502, probably the Throttle valve or body. The porsche specialist here said this code means replacing this part. Is this true? On our advise he was cleaning it first well, but still same code after doing the whole starting/ resetting procedure. Do u think it is this throttle body and can i order this for this price here? hope to hear, Harry
  8. merci, I think thats the word of the part i was looking for, the throttle body, what i called gasunit/ gas valve. Stefan, what is gunked up? is the valve not moving up and down, or do you mean something else? And how do i/ they clean this? But if this throttle body is the problem, why the car is then running ok with the MAF disconnected? Do u have an idea? Boris
  9. Hi, Still no OBD II codes, dealer not working in weekend here. Forget to tell, when i disconnect the Mass Airflowsensor, the car is running ok in an emergency program, also gas pedal is working. Also no "check engine" light on dashboard. So you should expect the problem in this MAF sensor, but not. Obviously i am not driving with this emergency program. Hope to hear u again, Boris
  10. Loren, My maf sensor has the nr. 124.00 at the end. Does this mean that this is the wrong one, and i need the 125.01 and a DME upgrade??? By the way, my car was always running with the 124 and is from 02-2000 boris
  11. thats what they did at the porsche garage, unforgenatly cant check myself those codes, this model doesnt give this information on a display. Cel?
  12. Hey all, want to ask you about my problem with my boxster S, 2000. Another issue with the mass air flow sensor, or not? My boxster S, 2000, has a problem, bad running engine. Before, few months the problem was solved after resetting the DME but now its permanently. After starting, the engine runs 1500 rpm. max and its not reacting on the gas-pedal. A kind of emergency program what he is running/ doing? I changed the MAF sensor without result. Now the dealer is advising to change the whole gasunit, dont know the english word. Its 800 eur. and i am not sure if this is the cause of the problem. Unforgenatly i dont have a boxster with a light of electrical codes on the dashboard display. Any other idea?? Sorry about the mistakes, thanks, Boris from the Netherlands
