    Hmm but I really like the fact that i can switch it off. Another question...so the PSE, is that somehow also linked to the DME? Henry, you really do NOT need the switch! Save the money and buy beer & gas!

    Steve. I've just bought the PSE (with all the necessary wiring harness) for my 2006 Base Boxster w/out chrono or PASM. I'm told by Porsche in Queensland (thats like over 2000kms from me) that you can install it with on/off switch. However, no one local to me knows how to do it?! I'm wondering if you found instructions anywhere? Regards Henry

    Ok now thats HOT! It looks great and fills up the arches really well. I dont think it needs any lowered springs. It really does look good.

    Oh great. When do you actually get yours? I've been told that I get my wheels in 10 days but I'm heavily realiant on USPS. I got a quote from Porsche here in Australia to lower springs and they quoted A$2040 - thats approximately US$1900! They said they wont just change the springs; but rather they have to change the whole suspension!? Anyway hardly seems worth it to lower it just by 1cm! But I do agree with you, i think it would look great lowering it by 1cm - 1.5cm. Send me some pics of yr car when you've got your new wheels. Ciao for now.

    Silly question ... but I've read that the spoiler only pops up when the car reaches 120kms/h. But in Australia, our speed limit is like 100kms/h!! So is there a way to program the spoiler to come up at 100kms/hr?? I know there is a manual button to make it come up .. but not really interested in having to keep pressing the button to bring it up and down... Its not really that important a question, but was just curious I guess....

    Hi all. I'm not really that technical so forgive me if i'm not making any sense. I've just bought (arriving in a few weeks) new 19" Carrera S wheels for my 2006 987 Boxster (no PASM). One of the main reasons for doing this was that I wanted to fill out the wheel arch a little more than my 18" Boxster S wheels. Having looked a few Boxsters with the 19" Carrera S wheels, I'm thinking that these wheels are not going to adequately fill the arches ... so am I right in saying that I should probably consider lowering the suspension? Are there any other alternatives? If lowering the car is the solution... then... I guess the next question is ... how much do I lower it by? I read somewhere taht installing PASM lowers it by 10mm... which doesnt sound like a lot?? Also whats required to lower the suspension? How much does it cost? And any brands I should go with? Thanks in advance....

    Ok this is going to sound a bit silly ... but i dont know when/how it happened. The first I noticed the marks was when i went out to the garage, but it must have happened prior but I obviously hadnt spotted it. I will tell you how it all went.

    For a number of reasons (too complicated to get into in this forum), it is unlikely that I would want to claim this through insurance. So, I think I would have to pay this out myself. I've probably rung 20 different panel beaters in Melbourne ... prices ranged between $3 - $7k for a total respray. In the end, I went with a guy that's charging me $5k. I dont really understand the whole re-spraying process, so didnt really know what to look out for??!! But having spoken to a few panel beaters, they gave me some hints. I guess the best tip was to go with someone who used Glasurit paint ... and paint system. Anyone agree with this? I guess the rest comes down to technique, and making sure that they remove all the bits and pieces before respraying. The panel beater that I went with also looked and seemed honest... Anyway... lets see what happens in the end....??!! Thanks for your responses!

    I'm sad... just found out today that someone poured acid on my Boxster! Who carries acid around??? The marks on my car cannot be buffed out..been to a detailer and that was the sad prognosis unfortunately! Its affected my boot and also my front bonnet .. and small marks on my rear guards as well. Does anyone know how much this would cost to totally respray? Its in steel grey. Plusses and negatives? Also, anyone in Melbourne Victoria? That knows a good panel beater?? Thanks in advance! :(
