    I would like to know if one of you folks ever went to the dealer with a used remote that you bought from someone else and have the remote code for your Boxster. I read in a past message that it is impossible to code the remote without the tag and the 24 digits....is that true. Thanks Robert

    Hello folks...., Just finished to change all the plugs in my 99 Boxster. A lot easier then i tought. I found some oil in my no 2 cylinder and i think that this is caused by a leaking spark plugs tube. The question is....may i get the tube out and change the O rings without taking off the plug Thanks Again Robert

    Hello Folks....., I was wondering if changing the tranny oil in a automatic 1999 Boxster was a DIY? I went today to the dealer and i asked how much for a tranny oil changed.....answer around $250.00 I also asked for the price of a liter of tranny oil.... $ 41.00 How much oil i will need for the tranny oil changed?     Hello folks....., As a new owner of a Porsche Boxter i decided to have a look at the poly rib belt....time to replace. I know this topic had been discussed before but i would like to know how hard is it to change.Can i do it alone in....... let say 10 minutes? Is it a DIY and if so do i only need 24mm box and a ratchet? Thanks in advance Rober1999 Boxter

    And how are you going to program it to your 986? While Yes the $400 is extremely excessive it usually includes programming so it actually works on your car. Do you have a PST2 or access to one? Before to buy the head i called my Porsche Dealer and asked them how much for programing.... The guy said $60.00...not so expensive...isn't it So the head $96.00 plus a new key blade $8.00 plus programing $60.00 = $164.00. Wow that is a bargain compared with the $400.00.. Bye Bye Robert But if all you need is the top plate because the rubber buttons have failed then your all set.

    Hello folks....., For the ones who are looking for a new remote head for there Boxster and don't want to pay $400.00...i just ordered a new one for my 1999 Boxster at Sunset Import Dealership in Oregon.Very good price at $96.00..... Bye Bye Robert

    Thanks Gus for the reply...., Now i was wondering if i ever decide to buy 17 inches wheels.....would they fit right on with 55 offset front and 50 offset rear or i would need to buy wheel spacers..... Thanks Robert

    Hello folks......, As a new member of Renntech and a new Porsche Boxter owner i would like to say hello to all of you. I just bought a 'new to me'' Porsche Boxter 1999 dark blue exterior and gray interior but with 16'' wheels... Of corse i would like to upgrade for a newer 17'' wheels. My question is....what is the offset of my 16 inches wheels front and rear and what should be the offset of the next 17 inches wheels if i want to keep the exact original look? I really don't want to hear nothing about 18 inches whells or bigger. Thanks in advance Robert
