Model year: Boxster 2000 Body Style: Coupe Transmission type: 5 Speed Interior color: Tan Country: US After the engine warms up I hear a loud squealing noise. The engine seems to sputter and the oil light comes on. If I rev the engine the oil light goes out. Last year the water pump was replaced along with the serpentine belt. Not sure what the problem is. Thanks.

It is a problem with the coolant level. It was down almost half a gallon of fluid. I did check under the carpet in the rear trunk and it is sticky and wet. I would say the coolant reservoir has a leak. Anyone have an idea on how much that will cost me? Thanks.

If the temp is staying where it should it cannot be the thermostat. The light serves two purposes and the second one is the coolant level. Have you checked it? Thanks for all the posts. I will check the coolant level.

2000 Boxster 2.7 5 Speed Hello: My temperature light is flashing, but the temperature gauge stays around 190. Some days the light doesn't flash. Is this my therostat going? Thanks.

I just bought a 2000 Boxster 2.7 5 speed. The window on the dash where the clock is located is not illuminated. All the other dashboard items work. Is there a fuse that needs to be changed or maybe a bulb in the dashboard itself?
