Thanks for the reply. The pill is still there. I did see the pill, and I placed it back to it's original position when I put the key back together. That's not the major problem because I bought a new key also. And was told that the new or old key is not responding to the control unit (behind the driver's seat) or vice versa.

I have a 99 Boxster and when I purchased it used, the seller told me the security system does not work and I need to get it reprogram, I went to the dealer and after buying a new key, they said they cannot program the key to the car, and that it would take a few hours of labor for them to open up the control unit and start to trouble shoot. Does anybody know what this problem maybe so I can save the troubleshooting labor charge and fix the issue directly. I had 2 keys with the car and they both starts the car fine, but remote button does not response. After fooling around and trying to open up 1 key to see what's inside, that key does not respond to the car anymore so it will not start the car. I am stuck with one key and should anything happen, I will not be able to start the car at all because when the dealer tried to program the key, I was told that the system is not responding. The security red light flashes after I manually lock the door but soon goes out after a few minute, probably meaning that the system is not armed.

Went to dealer and picked up a new CLUTCH INTERLOCK SWITCH and replaced it myself. Car starts with no problem now. The part was $25 total. Got a 10% discount because I used to work with the same auto group. :)

I got a leak. :( Will try to do resevoir replacement soon. $sigh$

My coolant reservoir goes from full to empty within 3-5 days. I put water in it only. I do not see any leakage from under the car. Could there be a leak because I do not think this is normal. 99 Boxster manual.

:welcome: That is your clutch interlock switch. It is either poorly adjusted or needs to be replaced. Thanks for the quick reply. How can the clutch interlock switch be adjusted? or replace if necessary?

Thinking about putting a push starter button (like the S2000 push start ) in my 99 manual Boxster because. .. .I recently purchased a 99 boxster manual and when I first start the car, it fired up fine, runs well with no issues. But when I turn off the ignition, and try to restart the car ( make a quick coffee stop or market stop somewhere) the engine will not start. It's a manual so ofcourse the clutch and the brake had to be engaged but the engine wont start. This problem only happen after the car had been started and then turning the ignition off to stop the engine. Restarting is not possible for atleast 15 minutes after the initial shut down. I figured out that there was a problem with the "clutch sensor"??. When I press the clutch to start the car, the sensor is not engaging and preventing the engine from starting as a safety measure. So what I did was bypass that sensor and the car starts up with no problem now. The only thing is once it's bypassed, in order to start the car I DO NOT have to step on the clutch or the brake. Just make sure the E brake is on and the car is in Neutral ofcourse. Underneath the steering wheel above the fuse box further in a little you will see a small white box connected with 2 black wires going in the box. I unplugged the 2 black wires from the small white box and directly connect the 2 wires together to bypass and Voila!, the car starts without clutch or brake have to be engage. It's a temporary fix and I don't like it. I prefer the clean look of a push start button. I do not like this and is thinking about installing a push start button in the car! Has anyone done it and how? I will go forth with the install once the order of the s2k button arrive. Just thought I could get some suggestions from the community.
