Stainless for me! I'm with jl-c re cost.
My preference is the one on the left. Simple, yet elegant. Much like a Porsche.

Does anyone know if the PCM for the 991.1 can be updated to 991.2 specs? Thanks bolobar
Problem solved. I mounted new tires on the front wheels and clunking, grinding noise is gone. I know, it's magic.
Happy New Year to all My 2012 C2S with 15k miles has been great with no issues except when I turn the steering wheel to either the right or left lock there is a clunking, grinding noise that is bothersome when moving. I took the car to the dealer and the service guy said that this is normal. I don't believe him. Suggestions/solutions would be appreciated and more than welcome.

My 2012 911/991S experiences the same results going forward. Same response?
Just a thought.....can you lock the car manually with the second key?

bolobar replied to 0356kid's topic in 997-1 Series (Carrera, Carrera 4, Carrera 2S, Carrera 4S)Mijostyn For whatever reason, the 997.2 will not let you check the oil level without the engine being warm and idling.
bolobar replied to 0356kid's topic in 997-1 Series (Carrera, Carrera 4, Carrera 2S, Carrera 4S)I own an 997-2 and the engine must be warm and idling to obtain an oil level measurement. Is this different than a 997-1?
I knew there was a reason I opted for a PDK. -)
After ~30 seconds after startup I get a check coolant message and the guage pegs to max. The message goes away after a short time and gauge shows normal @ 175º. Coolant resevoir is full. I suspect the sender. Is this for the dealer or a simple replacement? Where is the sender located? I am not too mechanically inclined. 09 C2S Thanks for your help, Roberto
