  1. Thanks so much for your help this makes me feel better about it.. :) Justin
  2. Hello, I am new to this forum so any and all help would be greatly appreciated as it looks like this is a great site that I have come across. My '99 boxster's convertible top on the passenger side wil not go up while the driver's side will go up. I have looked through many articles on here and have come to the conclusion that it is most likely a cable or the transmission on the drivers side as there are quite a few pictures that look and sound the same as my problem. My real problem is I have manually put the top up according to the instructions in the owners manual but can not seem to find a way to secure the clam shell so it wont bounce while driving and I am scared that at higher speeds it may lift and bend or worse. At this time I am not worried about being able to put the top up and down since I have recently been laid off from work and this is my only car so at the present time I do not have much money at all and need to save what liittle I do have for food for myself and my daughter and these god awful gas prices. So besides from duct taping the poor thing down (which I know is a terrible idea) is there anyway I can secure it so that it will be at least drivable untill I can afford to buy the parts to fix it correctly. Once again thank you for any help!!! Justin Eubank
