  1. Problem solved thanks to the guys at Addspeed in Horsham. They plugged in their PST2 and diagnosed that the throottle body was at fault got one from porsheapart for£150 (590+VAT from dealer) and had it fitted and error codes erased all good now .
  2. I have taken off the throttle body (Engine end) given it a good clean , and the car is now revving to about 2000 rpm wit full pedal deflection . I thought that this sounds like this is the faulty item ,BUT i have just noticed that when the cruise control is switched on the cruise light does not come on on the dash. this is controled by the motronic unit in the trunk (boot). so maybe i am looking at a far more detailed and expensive fix than first antisipated.
  3. On Returning to My 2000 Boxster S after work the other day The Accelerator pedal Had no effect The engine simply Ticks over however much the accelerator is pressed. Called out the rac and he seemed to think it was the engine actuator end of the throttle system But I dont have much faith in his diagnosis seeing as i had to show him how to get to the engine! I have looked at a few old posts regarding Accelerator problems but most of these seem to be slightly different faults . I dont really want to go through the expence of having a repair carried out by the OPC Is there any kind of throttle reset i am able to carry out without special equipment or way of finding out which part is faulty so that i am able to replace it myself.
  4. hi ,I have just got hold of a pair of litronics for my 00 boxster S. after fitting them i have noticed that the level sensors seem to be set at different heights. i have read many posts on the fact that there is no retro fit kit for the level sensors. my intention was to fit the lights without ,but assumed that the lights would be positioned somewhere in the mid position of adjustment. does anyone know of a way to motor the lights down so that i am able to set up the lights. there are only four control pins for the level adjustment motor so it should'nt be too hard to work this out if i had access to a wireing diagram.
  5. I am considering adding the trip computer and cruise control modification mentioned in these pages. i have just visited my local porsche dealer (mid sussex porsche, burgess hill ,united kingdom) and questioned them with regard to activating the computer function once the mod has been carried out. there reaction was that they had never heard of this being done and that the instrument cluster would have to be replaced for the trip computer function at the least(said it was a different part number to the standard fit) does anyone know if this it true? when i examined my dash display in bright sunlight a mpg icon can be seen faintly i assumed that this would be one of the function activated help!!
  6. Hi guys i hope one of you can help, I recently got hold of a bose rear shelf for my 2000 boxster S i wondered if any of you have the wwiringdiagrams for the bose setup? I have a becker traffic pro head unit running through the standard door and dash speaker setup with the front trunk mounted nokia amplifier ,I was hoping to simply connect the bose box to the rear speaker out on the becker as i guess these are not used when the nokia amp is fitted. i could also do with a copy of the porsche diagram to check this. I have put a multimeter on the pins of the box and it appears that the bose speakers are connected in parrellel as i am getting some unexpected resistance readings! Thanks !! <_<
