  1. Does anyone know if it is possible to add DAB digital radio to a UK 2009 997-2? Is there an official Porsche option that can be retrofitted and/or a third party one (guess not due to coding etc...)
  2. I've just had my 997.2 Carrera S serviced and the local OPC recommended that I pay them to clear the radiator vents and bulkhead drains as well as replace the wiper blades. As they had already annoyed me (another story...) I turned down their offer to relieve me of another ~£200 to do what sounded like simple (and potentially unnecessary) jobs. So... are they simple jobs (apart from the wipers - I know that's simple!)? If so, could someone point me in the right direction as how to do them please? :thankyou:
  3. guys how are your contacts listed once the phone book has been uploaded into PCM? do you have the same issue that I do (detailed elsewhere) with, contrary to the phone's settings, names being displayed "last name, first name"? :o (or is that how your phone is/what you want?)
  4. been there, checked that! on my iPhone 3G (latest firmware) Sort Order First, Last Display Order First, Last Outlook sync's with the iPhone and everything is fine on each device... Outlook (2003 - relevant?) is set thus: Default "Full Name" order: First (Middle) Last Default "File As" order: First Last
  5. Hi I was a lurker and an infrequent poster in a previous life when I had a 996 Carrera 4 and this forum was always a source of useful information and advice. It's nearly four years since I sold that car to a mate as I took delivery of a V8 Vantage. Since then, I sold the Aston and have had a couple of years driving comparatively sensible cars (BMW 330d coupe). Yesterday I took delivery of a shiny new Aqua Blue Carrera S, so am back in Porscheland! :D I've a query to do with the display of contacts on PCM having downloaded my contact list from my iPhone 3G. The pairing was easy, the download easy but the listing is arse-about-tit to how I'd like it to be; ie: "Brown Gordon" not "Gordon Brown" (not that I have the PM's number but you get the idea...!) There doesn't seem to be a setting in PCM to alter the sort order or display order like there is on the phone. The dealer was sure he knew of another customer with this issue and that it was resolved but didn't know what needed to be done. I've not had a chance to play yet (should have a chance to do so tomorrow) but in advance, does anyone know what I need to do so my phone numbers are listed the way I want them to be in the car please?
  6. Guys - great site/forum - very interesting indeed - have loitered here since its birth and previously benefitted from Loren's advice on the Rennlist pages. As all the circuitry for the OBC is included on all cars and it takes little more than fitment of the right switchgear to utilise it, is the same true of cruise control? Do I just need to fit the right switch and call in a favour from my local dealer to activate cruise control? In which case, what do I need? I have a 2000 C4 Coupe Tip with OBC - so three stalks on the steering column.
