  1. Hello All!

    My '04 Boxster is coming up for it's first Smog Check for DMV Renewal. Now being somewhat mechanical, I am aware that the Tech has to check the timing and

    such on my other vehicles when Testing. However with the Boxster there is no checking under the hood for that. So, what can I expect when I pull up the the

    Smog Center?? Will they freak out, just charge more, or will it be (save for the expense of the Test), painless??

    I'm amazed to read yet again about cracked windshields due to the weirdest of circumstances. It must be an "angle of attack"

    thing.

    A while back I was behind a huge construction truck when I saw it flick up a apricot sized rock and it was easy to see it cruising

    right for the windshield! It smacked the glass so hard my wife thought we were being shot at, and left 3 nice scratches where

    it hit, but didn't crack the glass!

    Amazing.
