  1. Hello All,

I have been seriously looking at buying a 996 and selling my '98 Boxster.  I've also been looking at a few well-kept 993's.  Is there anything I should be looking for in the 996's with regards to known issues etc?

    Thanks in advance!

    Steve

Steve, I recently traded my Boxster for a 997 but was considering a 996 cab. According to two dealers they were trying to push their 996's out the door. As a reality check, he cab was offered to me for their invoice without even a start at negotiation.

    Good luck,

    Bernie

  2. Traded my 986S for a 997S Saturday and all I can say is WOW. Almost went with the 997 and almost went with a 996 nicely loaded Cab. But the 997S, again, WOW. Now I need some tech advice.

    1. Any suggestions as to where to hard wire my V-1? The Boxster was simple but on the 997 i haven't a clue.

    2. Is the Nav unit simply a "plug and play" or does a Porsche Tech have to do their magic to turn it on? I was told by the salesperson that the unit just plugs in.

Thanks for your help and for a great forum
