    My outer boots are split all around on the outboard and one was squeaking allitle i put some grease in there fine for now. I saw these axels online for $125 each complete with bolts and axel nut but would those be a good option for me rather than trying to replace boots on my original axel Ihave 53k on my boxster s 2000. The brand is opparts. Thanks Peter

    Does anyone know what the round disk under the front center collum with the sticky tape and looks like antenna wire is? I am using the same brake switch it was just stuck. Could the disk effect the radio signal fading slightly. Thanks

    oh no emerg brake light so I guess thats it idk how to get at switch.

    I had my top down today driving around on my new rear tires and when I went to close it I hit the rocker switch and nothing happens. I checked fuses d3 and b6 i believe they seem fine. Emergency brake is up and ignition on how can I trouble shoot getting my top up thanks /2000 boxster s

    i have .28 of toe out and I like the steering better same as before. .21 on the back but unless they take the pins out on the rack you dont get the right settings for the rear if Im correct.So its not even. I guess they dont feel like doing it. So I got it back out of spec.

    I got 2 new Rossos for the back of my s 00 online and had them installed locally at a tire place with an alignment. I dont know if i can say the names but. I didnt have any uneven wear bad part, they scratched and gouged my wheels up with the mounting machine now my alignment is about 0 front instead of toe out. Maybe everything will be good in a few hundred miles I hope. My outside boots are also seperated but not flinging grease or clunking I thought they were fine but when i pushed my finger in they where open.

    Thanks I have a new engine mount but original trans mounts I have seen cars where the tires will smoke like a bmw m5. So I should rev it high as i let out the clutch slowly as to not spin the tires

    My 00 boxster S standard has teribble wheel banging and hop if I try to peal out front wheels straight ahead. Is this due to wear or looseness of cross members or by design I guess I could just not do it

    my mount is on the way, and due to be replaced. My exhaust tips were moving wildly in first gear and I know my mount has been bad for a couple of years hope its an easy fix.

    could just be higher voltage effecting the engine managment ignore and drive might be your best option.

    I have 47k miles on my 00 s early model. I think the maf makes it sound agressive like a ricer, noisey I dont think its that good honestly compared to before. The part numbers are the same.

    I guess I was so used to the broken one since I bought the car. Maybe the Durametric software would be good all I have is a code reader.

    I bought a bosch maf part ending in .124 to replace my old one The factory seal on the box was open incidently, Then I read that genuine porsche mafs are better tested than the same part from bosch on this uk boxster site. The performance does seem alittle different and it sounded like it was sucking more air when I put it in then i disconnected the battery for 20 sec to clear it. Now im thinking I should get a porsche maf I know my old maf was bad and I dont get any cel or idle problems.

    I would replace the maf as they dont work for crap when they get old. I replaced mine finally and got rid of the codes after 2 years of cleaning it.

    mine does that after i change the oil because it sits and fills up.If you check it after you drive it will be lower unless you have overfilled it a quart i wouldnt drain it.

    I am more concerned with the shape of the plugs and How do you check the gap on the 4 arm type?

    It looks like rust. I would try wheel cleaner p21s or equivilent and a brush followed by waxing.

    That does look like a crack at the bolt so 6 plugs and 6 coils and whatever o-rings and tubes needed? what is that special grease is it just silicone grease I will probably order the parts to do it over the winter now.

    I have a 2000 boxster s with 42k miles it was serviced at the dealer from its previous owner. Question would the spark plugs have already been changed at 30k at the dealer or is it time to change them now? I think at least one of my tubes is leaking or has leaked. see picture thanks Peter

    Im getting a new pump oem brand I hope they are good mine is shot. I cant find any decent clamps to sqwish off the large hose my fluid is still running out.

    Hi on inspection it looks wet as though its comming from the elbow that is actually the water pump. Literally a river of coolant came out from there while it was not being driven. Do I definitely need a new pump? Im thinkin I do.

    I found a huge puddle under my 00 boxster s. I checked the expansion tank under the carpet and its dry. It seems to come frome the passenger side engine front. when I took off the plastic shield there was tons of coolant flowing when I jacked it up from that side. I havent started it in weeks. Any Ideas what that could be I never had to add any but sometimes I could smell it for alittle bit now its empty? It may be dripping from the flange gasket from that hose.
