  1. last time I cleaned the maf and tbody the light went away for months does that mean the maf has to be cleaned or replaced? The posts to me were inconclusive as what fixed that code
  2. It seems like it is a slow hanging drip with a small spot on the ground. I use mobile 1 0-40 weight oil. As for the code, it is rich on the 1-3 bank side. would I look for anything in particular on the engine pass B) side?
  3. Hi. I keep getting P1128 cel on my 00 box S. Ive tightened all the intake hose clamps and cleaned the maf and thottle body but the light came back. I dont see any leaks or broken hoses. Secondly is this oil leak bad ,would it effect the clutch? Should I try an oil stopleak additive. I was planning to change the oil soon last time was last july. Thanks for the advisement.
  4. If your battery is dead then that 600 thing might not have enouph juice to start it. I had to leave a running truck on it for 5 min reving it to turn it over. I would suggest leaving it on for a few minuites before you try to start it. good luck
  5. I mounted my gps on the console cubby of my boxster with a rubber o ring and a small paper clamp clipped in the seam above the shifter. It swivels while i turn. The rubber case I bought for my gps has a belt clip and I hooked the rubber ring on that. Perfecto
  6. I will try to bleed it maybe do the brakes as well with the power bleeder. I have new brake pads but apparently no new clutch. Then if I need a clutch my options seem to be a dealer or weekend project for my son and I. I saw the sachs clutch and the porsche clutch and some guy on you tube about a kevlar clutch seems like a complicated job for the DIY er. Thanks
  7. I have a boxster S year 2000 with 41000 miles on it. My problem is I feel the clutch is hard to hold down when stopped. I am resorting to putting it in neutral and keeping my foot off the cluch at lights or in traffic which saves my leg and prevents lazy foot slipping the clutch. I dont get any other issues with slipping or noises and Im not ready yet to get a new clutch. It also tends to stall because of the pressure on the pedal to hold it down....would bleeding the system help this? This was a porsche certified used car 3 years ago at ~34000 I've had it a year now. Thanks
  8. Would wider carerra wheels work on my boxster s for winter tires (F) 17"x7.5" 52 offset and ® 17"x9", 47 offset and 5x130 bolt pattern. Tire Specs: Blizzak LM-22 (F) 225/45/17 & 255/40/17 with 95% tread remaining what wheels would be best for a winter set. Thanks Peter
  9. Thanks ,because this is a new car to me as 3rd owner Im discovering some issues. The brake seems much better now that I degreased the rotor. When I set the tire pressures according to the manual the steering wheel seems off center ever slightly
  10. The right rear caliper is not operating properly and appears to be stuck ie disk is not shiney like the others. Otherwise the brakes seem fine Please describe a fix. Thanks
  11. Try 3467 or 3465 Those did not work do I press anything after the #? It was one number higher not two as the faq suggested. Thanks
  12. Try 3467 or 3465 Those did not work do I press anything after the #?
