  1. Same issue. I did a fuel system treatment. Oil change and air filter. Cleared the codes. Lets see if they come back.
  2. I have the exact wheels. They are wicked light. Ah...hate to burst the bubble, but your car doesn't look like a widebody one. It has an aero kit with the wing and stuff, but the fenders are exactly like a regular 996. I love the wing though. :D Nice color, too. What 19 inch wheels you are getting? Yeah, I found that out yesterday. I have since edited my original post, lol! These are the 19's...
  3. I will post pics of her with new 19's soon. Hopefully, they will be here this weekend.
  4. Thanks fort he quick reply Loren! I have been browsing thru the boards and I see you are certainly the man when it comes to all things Porsche! It was just after an oil change, so i'll buy the over fill theory. How often do I need to put oil in her. It seems like she's burning thru the oil. In one week she went from the top allt he way down to 2-3 before the bottom when I run the oil level check. Is that normal. I mean I know that 911's consume oil, but that much? Gary
  5. Hello all, I'm a new 996 owner. I picked up a 2002 996 C2 that was kept in excellent shape by its previous owner. I am also the first owner of a quasi-exotic car in my family. That being said, everyone that comes tot he house wants to go fast, and I feel obliged to not disappoint. I took my brother in law for a ride and I took a SHARP turn around a corner that led up a hill. As I came back down I realized that I left a cloud of white smoke behind but it was at night and I couldn't really distinguish if it was engine or tire. My brother in law said tires so I went with that. When I got up the next morning I started her up and a cloud of white smoke billowed out of the left (drivers side) exhaust pipe. This lasted for about 10-15 seconds. I shut her down and nervously waited a few minutes, wondering if the abuse I gave her last night broke her. I started the car back up and it was fine. It's been 1 week, and it hasnt reoccured. Granted I haven't been killing the corners like that anymore, but I have no loss of power, no rough idle, no oil leaks. What would cause white smoke from the tailpipe? Thanks, Gary
