  1. Hi, I just did the SACH 2.5 clutch upgrade together with the replacing the actuator rods on my 2007 997TT. Prior to the work, sometimes under hard throttle, noticeably in 2nd or 3rd gear, above 4000rpm, the car seems like it is loosing power (even though it is boosting fully). Most people suggested me to replace the actuator arms/rods because they may be stiff due to corrossion, so I did. After changing the clutch and actuator rods, it was running nice again. After a few short test drives, the car feels right and the boost kicks hard. However, once I hit the freeway the car loss power. The boost then was limited to 0.5-0.6bars max and fluctuates steadily under high throttle in high gear. The car decided to lose power suddenly once I hit the freeway as if the actuator is stuck. At first I also thought that it was (again) the intercooler pipe, but it was not. Here are the errors that the PIWIS read on my car: 1.) "Boost pressure electric actuator b2 stiff" 2.) "Air mass ahead of throttle valves" Another one was also something about 'faulr actuators' or so. I tried the "Adaption of boost pressure actually" in the PIWIS and it FAILED. It states that there is a fault and could not proceed on with the adaption process. I also thought maybe one of my turbos are dead, but after I parked the car for a while and restarted it, it seemed like the boost came back, and when I hit the freeway once again, the boost goes back to its 0.5-0.6bars routine. I am pretty much stuck. Please let me know where I should look into. Thank you. Frank C.
  2. I will pick up the parts on Thursday. Will have my friend who owns a shop do the work this weekend. I've been told as well that it is accessible through the fender line. Will get back and explain the process. Thanks for all the input.
  3. Hi everyone, Today I replaced my low beams on the left side of my headlamp. I realized while 'wrenching' the headlamp out that the screw was a little lose. I later realized that the plastic headlight plate is cracked open, causing the gears that lock/push-out the headlamps to lose their contact. After replacing my bulb I put my headlamp back in. Usually I will rotate the wrench until it "clicks" and completely locks the headlamp, but this time it didn't. I tried pushing the screw so that the gears will be completely in contact (since the plastic mount bracket is already broken). Once my headlamp is securely locked (not really sure), that part of the bracket broke and fell off with the screw (that is stuck to the wrench) that is used to spin the headlamp lock. So basically, I will not be able to take out my left headlamp anymore. I've already placed an order on a new set of headlamp mount bracket. My question is now that its pretty much impossible to remove the headlamp, what is the best way to get access to the bolts that hold the mount bracket? Where are the bracket bolts located? Thanks in advanced. Frank C.
  4. Thanks for your reply. Mine happens occasionally. However, I don't know how long its been since I just found out about it this past Friday evening. I happened to just not bother and leave the car locked (with the driver's rear door unlocked) overnight and the next morning it will just be fine. Then it happened again in the afternoon (and for the rest of the day). The next morning it's okay again. So far, its been okay for the past 2 days. Since the intermittent electrical issue is also something that has happened, that might also be it. But I also have this thought that something in there might need a little lubrication. I will check out the manual for the manual override. Thanks again.
  5. 2004 CS left rear door won't lock. Even when in car, if I lock the car (both from inside and remote), that specific door will remain unlocked. I also noticed when I press lock, that particular door will not "click" like other doors. When unlocking, that specific door will "click" TWICE apart from other doors that only click once, which seems like the lock mechanism is stuck in lock position. Does anyone know which part(s) may be involved with this issue? I am pretty positive that it's something mechanical since everything else works fine including the alarm (if I happen to open that door when I lock the car via remote). Thank you all. Frank C.
  6. Hi everyone, I just picked up an '03 CS recently. Last week while driving back home I got a low coolant light and the coolant pipe burst, spraying coolant all over the road. I stopped the car on the side of the road to see what was going on. I decided to drive home (only a few blocks away) and I realized when cranking up the engine again the "ABS failure light workshop" came on ( I do not think coolant has something to do with ABS). However, it never stayed on nor gave any codes. After towing the car to the dealer the next day and having the coolant pipe replaced, I had the dealer diagnose the problem. I started the car a few times to show them the ABS light that comes on and goes away right away to have them see, but they said they couldn't do anything because it doesn't give any faults. I also happen to test the brakes and the ABS is still working. My pads are still okay and my brake fluid level is normal. I already tried replacing a new battery, but it still happens once every few starts. Does anyone know what is causing this to happen? So number 1, "ABS failure workshop" light that appears once in a while for a split second and never stays on. Also, while driving at night, I realized that the whole driver door panel lights (windows, door locks, side mirrors adjustment buttons) tend to blink sometimes. So last night while I was parking I stayed in the car and left the headlights on to see. The lights did blink; it went off maybe for a split second and came back on. I tend to have my stereo on as well. I am not sure if this has something to do with ground issues, but I'm pretty sure its only the lights because all of the buttons are working fine. Number 2, driver door panel 'light blink'. Anyone with inputs on these issues please help me. I have a service due pretty soon, so I should have it checked out right away. Thank you all in advanced. Frank C.
