Can you please help me with a radio code? I was able to pull the serial number and model number following your directions. But, over the last month, I've tried the codes below that I gathered from this 53 page thread.

The radio reads "code". After I've tried 3 incorrect codes, it reads "wait" for about an hour.

Each code is specific to your serial number. It would be pure luck if any of the other codes here worked for your radio.

Since it is only one cylinder it is likely the spark plug, ignition coil (on that plug), cable to the plug, or a bad injector.

Hello, would this diagram be the same Boxster? I'm having the same issue and want to try switching my coils on 2 and 3 cyl.

I've been searching the site on information on radio code. I've realized I need to get the serial number and go through the dealer, since it is not on any of my paperwork or the car (hood, truck, and door jams). Anyway, I read on the site that you can 1) Turn on Radio Power 2) Hold down TP button 30 sec radio will beep... I've done this and when I press the TP button, it just rotates thru the radio stations. The radio doesn't beep and then stops at a local radio station.

Any clues on how I can get the serial number and radio code.

I have a 97 Boxster with a CDR-210 radio. THe face plate comes off and there is an 18 digit number on the back.

I'm having a problem with my drivers side window not lowering when the door handle is lifted. The key remote only opens the passenger door. The drivers door has to be opened with the key. Anyway, I need to remove the door panel and want to disconnect the battery before removing the panel because of he airbag.

I'm planning on taking the door panel off then.

If you are going to do this yourself then you need to remove the door panel and see what is going on inside.

The noise is usually from a bad electric door lock actuator.  The lack of window drop is from a bad window regulator or switch on the door handle.  I am not sure if one is related to the other.  You need the panel off so you can see what is the cause.

Both are not uncommon problems.

I had the dreaded convertible / clam shell / cable issue and have learned how to do my own maintenance!!!

Looking forward to trying to repair the screeches on my rims!

Anyway, I have a 1997 Boxster and was wondering if anybody else has had theses problems.

Problem 1

When using my key remote it makes a terrible buzzing noise in the drivers door by the door handle.

The drivers door will not unlock by the key remote.

I have to lock the door manually with the key.

The remote will unlock the passages door.

Also, when turning the key in the door lock, sometimes it feels as if the key will not turn.

It feels like there is something inside blocking.

Problem 2

I’m having issues with the drivers door window.

Intermittently, when I lift up on the handle the window does not drop down.

So, the window is stuck in the weather-stripping.

Also, it happens when opening the door from inside the vehicle.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
