  1. I am replying to this post due to a chronic problem with the computer(s) on my 2008 C2S. Everytime I drive the car ona track day, I get a limp mode when I start to drive quickly. ( Not sliding and bouncing off berms, just a good pace). The codes are different each day but will repeat after a reset on the same day: 1. Code: "Traction (four five word in between) Implausible" Multiple time in a two day period. I eventually gave up on the track of the car at that point. Reset at the track by professionals on site with a Porsche code reader 2. Code: "Steering Angle Sens
  2. l i think there is an error in your parts list. part #955.647.117.01 comes up as "navigation antenna s". is the correct part # 955.645.280.02? can you post all the specifics of the actual part ... who made it, and their part number? can't quite read the photo. many thanks for your fantastic post! scott
  3. Hi. I had my 996 GT3 sport seats refinished in Carrera red to match the rest of my RS60 Boxster. They look great, but the monkey (dumb human) that disassembled the plastic parts where the shoulder harness pass though, first stripped the torx-head screws that hold the plastic collars in place, and then actually screwed some oversized phillips-head trim screws right though and out the front side of the plastic collar! I need to get the part numbers for the correct torx head screws and a set of new plastic collars. Thanks
  4. Thanks for the input. Just after I posted my complaint, I searched and found some turn downs made by DynaTech. They can even be ordered with a stainless steel perforated internal cone that is supposed to break up the "raspy" sound that the PSE makes at full song. If I can get the fit right I would be able to direct the tips both down and away from the sound monitor. $89.00 each. I took some rough measurements of the OD and ID of my PSE and the OD is close to 3 1/2" with the inside being close to 2 1/2". I might order them if I can return them if the fit is to far off to fab into shape (l
  5. I had a tough time at a HPDE day at Laguna Seca last Monday  . My stock RS60 Boxster hit a 98db on a cool gray morning. The max db at Laguna for DE days is 92db. I tried again with the "sport" setting off, and still hit 95+db. The section of the track where the the sound reading is taken is between turns 5 and 6: up-hill, third gear heading to near redline. I was able to meet the sound requirement by running through the sound traps in fourth gear, sport mode off, kind of lugging fourth at about 4000 or so revs. I think I might try fabbing up some tips to turn the sound tow
  6. I "followed" the link the the Cayman club, and printed out the DIY for this topic. I just performed the DME tac wire hook up on my Boxster S. DME was easy to get to, Green wire w/ blue tracer was easy to find. Do inspect the harness as there are several similar looking colored wires. Good Luck
  7. I would like to run the DOT Michelin Sport Cup tires on my 2008 RS60 Boxster for track days. What sizes (front and rear) works best?
