  1. Perry, we provide full instructions with our custom painted interiors. What year/model is it? Was the console just painted in your garage/yard? If so, you might be throwing good money after bad. We use a 14-stage process that can take up to 11 full work days to complete, and is a factory matched coating/chemistry when completed, more durable than the exterior, at half the price of the factory option. Email me: eric@bumperplugs.com I can help you through it. You might also want to visit www.bmracing com and review the short shifter install file...with pics.
  2. Nice job. We have the cover for the 3rd brake light if you need it.
  3. I vote for our custom BumperPlugs.com painted rear center console in Lapis! OK, this is midnight, but you get the idea:
  4. Too many better front ends out there. This one ain't the one.
  5. I use Rejex on the '04 C4S Cab....and used to use P21S (great stuff too). I liked the results so much with Rejex that we now carry it! Great stuff, easy on, easy off, improves the ease of washing by a giant leap.
  6. Got tons of pictures, and all the factory-matched consoles you may want or need, in stock! Email me: eric@bumperplugs.com
  7. Pull out the ashtray and remove the torx screws, then the switch cover. You might find the ring before having to remove all of the console.
  8. Yes, it's normal. Should be the only fog light on rear when you are parked on curb, the outside corner is lit, not both. Almost every car made with fogs is set up this way. You're fine.

  10. I typically have a one-year service, oil change, go through the car, check it over, etc. Not a big one, just mostly peace of mind. Might also have the tranny oil changed. 7k miles now.
  11. Not too worried. Will get it in soon for a one-year service, just wondering why all of a sudden started hearing this noise.
  12. First I thought it was coming from the shifter head. Barely noticeable but from 2nd to 3rd sounds like if it was made of wood, it would be cracking under the leather boot. Otherwise fine, and messing with the shifter head itself produces no noise. Just wondering if shift points need some lube. Weird. Anyone hear this? '04 C4S, B&M, leather/alum shifter head.
  13. Just wondering. Everyone has a theory on oil changes before factory recommendations or to follow them, but I don't hear much on the tranny oil. Factory shows change at 90,000 miles. But I wonder, with a few missed shifts, grinding gears or whatever mishaps may happen in a year or two, is it worth the trouble to do this early? Thoughts?
  14. Common problem. Have dealer reset it, and if it returns, a full TSB was issued to work through this.
  15. Can you get up under there and take a few shots? Sounds like RMS or intermediate shaft seal. But could be a number of things.
  16. Any easy tips on removal of the exterior fuel filler lid? Thanks.
  17. We do this for a living. Trust me, it ain't pretty. We use 14 levels of finish on the products we sell, and they are stunning when completed. Email me anytime and I'll price out what you might want, then you can compare to doing it yourself. But I can promise the finish won't be the same. eric@bumperplugs.com Oh yeah, alumalook is not arctic.
  18. Actually, you will need the extra metal piece that 'creates' the hinge. The older model had a built-in plastic hinge that often broke. The retrofit kit is much more sturdy.
