  1. You must have pressed the James Bond smoke screen button on the dash. Just press it again and you should be fine. It's use is to illude bad guys, police, and ex girlfriends. x2 for AOS.
  2. I have been attempting to rub the scratches out of the front windshield of my Acura for the past 6 months with no success. I have used rubbing compound and windows scratch remover. If you do get the scratch out, you could either get a weak point in the glass or a weird optical issue. Just replace the windshield and call it a day. Sorry I could not come up with better advice.
  3. I use Zymol seal. It mosturizes the rubber and I have absolutely no complaints about it.
  4. I personally feel that if you nickle and dime your porsche, you will be a poor man. Porsche's parts are built to a particular standard and not to say there are not some good aftermarket parts out there, ebay stuff and chinesse stuff is not that. If you want a cheap car, buy a honda or a toyota. If you buy a car that you can not afford, you will be very sorry and it will be the worst experience you will ever have. Otherwise said. DO NOT!!! buy a porsche to impress your friends, buy one because you love them and will take care of them. AND BE PREPARED TO SPEND MONEY ON IT.
  5. Bringing a thread back from the dead... I will be doing a brake fluid change soon enough, using the DIY method that uses a Motive bleeder. i was planning on using Castrol SRF. but Loren, in consideration of what you said there, that Castrol SRF cant be mixed with other brake fluids, will this be a problem? seeing as the motive bleeder forces out the old fluid, will it be a problem to use Castrol SRF? or is there a non reactive fluid that needs to be pumped through first to essentially wash out the system? What about the residual fluid that will be left in the abs and clutch line?
  6. I do not know if anyone would be interested. But I purchased a motive european power bleeder from Pelican Parts and ended up not using it to bleed my brake lines. I hate to see it go to waste, so if anyone is interested in it, please PM me. Thanks!
  7. Yesterday I did my 04 boxster s. THank you for the detailed instructions. Only took about an hour to do all four corners. Is the clutch really optional though or needed?
  8. all depends on the driver. That would have been hysterical  if that was an unmarked.
  9. I drove mine back from Arizona and average 28mpg. I was quite impressed, and I drove it like a porsche should be driven!!
  10. What are some good extended warranties in the US???
  11. Very nice, I would like to know where you bought the kit or switch at.
  12. Two hot girls outside bar? Have you never seen batman begins. He fit two girls in the front of a Lamborghini. You simply have them sit on each other's lap. Now if there are three hot girls, that gets a little more interesting!
  13. What? First I've heard of that. It states that it the manual. If you do a lot of around town driving, you can dillute the oil down with fuel.
  14. I am sorry to hear your pain, however, Porsche is not the only one. I recently had my head gaskets replaced on my subaru impreza and the mechanic had to remove the entire engine in order to remove and install them. It is the perk of a horizontaly opposed motor.
  15. I just looked and my 2004 S was built in Stuttgart. Does that mean that it may be immune to motor issues? :D
