  1. Well it's not on my 06, so I would say it's damaged. Did you buy it from new?
  2. Just a guess it may be the gearbox filler
  3. Hi,Well I have got 06 987 now at 51000km with just normal servicing every two years at Porsche with new front rotors and pads all round, and one new set of tyres, that is all so far. In fact my last car was a 01 986 and that was just the same, dam good cars. You need to drive them every day, all year like I do. Good luck.
  4. Hello, That is about the same that Porsche want in the UK. And it includes the vat, see attach PDF. http://www12.porsche...servicepricing/ default.pdf
  5. Hi, The short answer is yes you do if you want to drive at below +7c and be safe. I have Michelin Pilot Alpin PA2 on my 987, they are first class for cold weather driving. This year have driven down to -21c. Good luck.
  6. That is normal, they come from Porsche like that.
  7. Try one of the three Porsche Centers in Saudi Arabia. Good luck with it.
  8. Well that is the same that I had on a 986 9 years ago, and all they did to fix it was a new light switch. Hope that helps.
  9. Hi, I would say it needs a new main light switch. Good luck.
  10. Hi, I too live next to Germany and drive on there Autobahns, at least once a month at high speed. Your 911 spent the last nine years going slow most of the time in the USA, I would change the spark plugs, plus are your wheels standed size or bigger? if bigger that would slow you down a lot. And turn off the AC on a high speed test. Good Luck with it.
  11. Hi, Merry Xmas and happy new year to you. I got one in the post today as a Xmas present from my Porsche dealer that I got my car from, and they service it every two years as well. Just put it up looks nice. Email your dealer and ask them. Last year got a bottle of honey vodka from them.
  12. The Pirelli's are real winter tires the Nittos are not. Only use tires that are branded with the snowflake-on-the-mountain symbol on them.
  13. Hi, Try here: http://www.e-partssales.com/miva//merchant...y_Code=987maint hope it helps.
  14. :welcome: Please do a search - this has been covered before. Sony comes to mind. http://e-partssales.com/Merchant2/merchant...ode=electronics
  15. Thanks for the welcome! I see you are from Canada and probably have the same winter storage problems that I will have being in the snowbelt of northern Ohio. I will keep it garaged and under cover w/ trickle charger, my question is about the oil changes. I have read other posts that you should store with fresh oil. Since the service intervals on the 987's is only 1 oil change every 2 years, would it still be recommended to change the oil before winter storage? Any thoughts on the subject would be appreciated. thanks! Dan Hello, Why not get a set of good winter tires like Michelin Pilot Alpin PA2 and keep going all year round. I do here in Poland, and it gets down to -30c. good luck.
  16. Hi, There is not one under the front hood on a 987, it is in the service manual which comes with the car from new.
  17. Hi, No problem, that is normal, it comes from your A/C. it is in the handbook.
  18. Hi, I did the same two years ago. The 987 is a much better car all round. If the roads are that bad stick with 17" wheels as I have because sum of the roads in Poland are crap. PASM makes a big change to how hard the ride is. There is not much difference in the power from 220 to 245 because it weighs more. I have all the upgraded audio, but I mostly drive with it off as the sound of the 987 is so much louder and nicer than a 986. Good luck.
  19. Hi That is one of the bad things about the UK. The year plates, after six months you have an old car to drive. Here in Poland my car is now three years old but looks brand new, to all the other drivers.
  20. Wheels look Great! could you tell us what the width is on those 19's and did you need spacers? How does the ride quality feel? Great choice, they really look great. Bill Not yet here in Poland, as it was -4c last night. +4c now at 1340. I will keep the hardtop on for a bit longer, and the winter tyres. Looking forwood to +35c in the summer.
  21. It is euro spec car ...... thank you If it was made after 31 May 2006 it will have 245
