  1. Update: I have 7 cars signed up so far and PM me for addy before end of day to sign up! It's important as I actually don't have Internet at the house yet (but have my trusty iPhone) so i'll be checking the forums less often starting Saturday. So bring your car and hang out!
  2. Thanks man - yeah there is quite a bit of work to make sure it's well organized and SAFE! But at the end of the day, it feels great to help each other out and get to catch up with old and new friends.
  3. Hi guys, a quick update: I have 6 cars signed up so far with some minor maintenance projects scheduled. Looks like the weather should hold up with a cool breeze so the BBQ should come in handy. For those not yet signed up, please PM me so I can give you the address. Can't wait to get some engine oil on my hands again and meet some local faces~
  4. Haha, now that's a luxury bottle opener! I'll bring some food for everyone to grill. Let me know if anyone has meet/vegi preferences. Maxodus, send me a count of how many people you expect as the date gets closer. :) Thanks for bringing the food dude. Hope the weather holds up so we can BBQ at the backyard while working on cars! I'll give more updates during the week but so far i have 5 cars and 4 people coming (I'm baby sitting my friend's Boxster as well as mine). Btw I have an old speaker that you can plug your iphone / ipod into and don't be shy to roll your tracks!
  5. yap - i'll be hosting the upcoming work on cars on Sunday 11/15. Full details at the other thread: http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=29785 hope you can make it up!
  6. lol that's a great pic why i didn't think of that! Looking forward to meeting you Tool Pants! Let me know your brand of beer so i can stock up (assuming Newcastle after looking at the pics!).
  7. update: in conversation with Tool Pants now, hoping he can make it!
  8. yap absolutely! haven't heard from Tool Pants yet though, but we have a few guys coming over for other maintenance items. So come on by, and I hope it doesn't rain <pray>
  9. ah good pointer, thanks Loren. Hmmm gotta find the right button(s) to push...
  10. Good idea Loren, and I'd definitely love to get his help on this one. I'm not good at asking for help I think, but beer rewards await those who help. Toolpants we need you~ :o
  11. What: Work on cars Sunnyvale Where: Max's house When: 11/15 Sunday Time: 11:30am Who: Anyone with a Porsche! And their significant other(s) of course~ Addresses: Please PM me for addy The season is changing and I've racked up a few maintenance items to do before the colder, rainy season hits us (oil change, rear brake sensors, belt inspections etc). Instead of working alone in my garage (house), I'd love others to join if they have small projects of their own to complete. I can fire up the BBQ at the backyard as well, for some BYO style munching. Btw Anyone can do the OBC hack here? Drinks reward!
  12. great idea - my friend was just talking about the same AUX install. Three brains better than one! I'll start a new thread with the date and location.

I can fire up the BBQ at the backyard as well, for some BYO style munching. Anyone interested? I'd need some help with the OBC hack too, free drinks to whoever can help B) As for the date, i'm thinking the end of this month (say on the last Sunday of October). Happy Boxstering! :renntech:
  14. Hi guys, got my 2003 Boxster recently and already have a few small projects in mind. Instead of working on it myself, I'm wondering if there is any work on cars day coming up? It sounds like more fun that way!
