  1. Porsche replaced the tank when they did the replacement, I still have a leak albeit much slower
  2. What happened to me (periodically smelling coolant) was (in cold weather) the coolant level light came on, I check the tank, it was 1 1/2 liters low. Porsche said they were aware of the issue and that it only tends to happen in cold weather, and that there was no "fix", I was a little irritated since the vehicle was under 2 months old, Porsche changed the tank out, it has been better but still when cold there is the scent of and a little loss of coolant. The issue is with the fittings between the tank and the pipes on the bottom of it, you may want then to switch the tank and fittings obviously under warranty Some may view this as minor, but if the coolant dumped and the engine was damaged it would not have been a minor.
