  1. :help:

    Professor Loren,

The battery on my MY2002 Tip Cab4 died and got replaced recently. Everything appears to be normal except the Parking Assistant/Sensors.

I noticed the problem when I was resetting the Seat Memory and the auto-swiveling-down function of the passenger-side mirror when backing up.

I did engage my Tiptronic selector level on P when storing the seat position (per factory manual). It used to work but not this time.

I also noticed I have lost the confirming short signal tune of the Parking Assistant/Sensors when I engaged my Tiptronic selector level on P.

What might have caused this and what should I do?

    Thanks!

    :notworthy:

  2. TP,

    Thanks for your input!

On a slightly different note, I was told to avoid taking the door panels apart at all because of the risk of getting rattles/noises afterwards. My buddy's 03 C4S has the infamous window streak marks but refuses to take it to the Porsche dealership for the warranty repairs.

"I could live with the streaks but not the potential rattling", he said.

Does he worry too much on this?

    Thanks!

  3. Hi Folks, :help:

Just want to see if any one has had the same experience with your drive-side window before.

The driver-side window galss of my 02 C4 Cab failed to drop before the driver-side door closed today. The window glass hit and bounced off the side-frame of the convertible top.

Anybody had the same problem before? What caused this?

Is there a way to check whether any part of the window glass assembly is damaged as a result of this?

    Thanks!

  4. Hi Guys,

Need your expertise here! It's time to change my key battery of my MY02 Cab.

What's the best way to open the cover of the key head? I really don't want to damage the edge of the key head cover with "small screw driver or finger nail (as described in the TSB)". :help:

Also, somebody told me the battery is a part of the original warranty. Is it true?

If not, where to get the battery and roughly how much?

    Thanks and Happy Holidays!
