  1. is getting better after series of illness for last few years.

  2. Wow.. that really sux. Only option you have is take it to the dealer and have them pop the hood with slim jim for hood. >Bought groceries last nite for the Super Bowl. Got home and the cable to the latch broke. Tried to access it thru the driver's side wheel well to pull on the cable and see if it >would open the latch, and I found the cable but...the whole cable came out...so it broke off at the latch
  3. Position of rear soft top cover looks fine, compare to others who had problem in the past. You can get smaller size of GPS antenna and put it in middle of the upper console where OEM GPS antenna goes. Ask your local car audio/video store for compatible receiver antenna.
  4. I had mine installed little over year ago, and I have to say.. it's great product and I love it every time I drive. It was very easy to install and no need to reprogram nor catalyst need to remove. Bolt on install and only tip is do the install in the morning or let it cool for least 3 hours. Exhaust get hot very easy and takes some time to cool it off. Good luck and enjoy your new FABSpeed.
  5. Let me know, if I can help you on both short shift and removing center console..
  6. Yeah, I've notice that too! when I got email from flying lizard team and other photos of other teams, it seems to me rear wings are way up there. More downforce ???? How about front lip???
  7. ALMS Winter Sebring Test January 24, 2007 — Sebring, FL — Team had a good run in both cars this morning. Johannes drove the entire session in the 45 car, primarily working on the car's behavior on longer runs. The 44 car made a substantial setup change last night and Craig worked back through fine tuning with Darren driving this morning for most of the session. He turned the car over to Seth for the final twenty minutes of the morning run time. ALMS Winter Sebring Test
  8. Warning lights deactivation is always free... least all of my local porsche dealers do... :renntech:
  9. Check your local electronic store for heat gun, for shrink tube application.
  10. No need to remove your rear bumper nor your rear spoiler for exhaust change. exhaust can be remove without taking rear bumper. it's very easy to take exhaust, just wait until cool it down first.
  11. To activate daylight running lights, you need to add a relay to relay box. Acquire part number 996.615.111.00. Insert this into spots S6 & S7 of the relay box. The relay box is marked like this: _xxxxx S1-5 _xxxxx S6-10 xxxxxx S11-16 xxxxxx S17-22 xxxxxx (unmarked on the fiche)
  12. Not just prevent loss of battery power, but very handy if you had batter maintainer. It also let you open the hood as well. http://www.porsche.com/usa/accessoriesands.../n39/n243/n299/ http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?f...tery+Maintainer
  13. To activate daylight running lights, you need to add a relay to relay box. Acquire part number 996.615.111.00. Insert this into spots S6 & S7 of the relay box. But if you can't order the relay from your dealer, here is quick and dirty hack. http://www.whiteson.org/boxster/mods/drl/
  14. Here is where you can download part listings from. https://techinfo.porsche.com/techinfo/pdf/e...USA_KATALOG.pdf You have several options, including carbon fibre as well.
  15. Ask Eric at bumper plugs (Plug-Guy) "Eric Sklut" <eric@bumperplugs.com> If he can do core swap. http://www.bumperplugs.com I asked him for carbon upgrade and he quote me $649. I am sure silver is little cheaper than carbon fibre. $399 sounds very reasonable to me.
  16. I am sooo sorry to hear your bad news.. I will ask around my porsche mechanic, if he has any idea. Only story I heard from others similar to what happen to you. Cigarette filter from front of the car and enters in to MAF, then cause air filter to burn, chock the engine. Eventually caught up fire. Hope this is not your case...
  17. The Valentine One - Saved me few times from both Oregon Police, and California Highway Patrol.
  18. Please do a Search - this has also been covered many times here. http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=11942
  19. Check with Mashaw's web site or NR Auto. http://www.mashaw.com/ http://www.nrauto.com
  20. Most likely your brake sensor wire is broke. It's very easy to get brake, and I usually order pair of sensor wire with brake pad. Take your wheels out and inspect your wires.
  21. Use narrow putty knife to open up the top cover from each side. Open your old key cover from side and take steel key unit off by release spring from the side tab. Look for your 996 or 986 transponder under the core unit, it's a small glass part. It's very fragile, carefully release it from plastic body. For 996 owners, you can skip this, for 986 owner will have to move one of two micro switch to unused middle location. (Red circle) Carefully place in the microswitch to middle of the core and use narrow tip soldering iron with little or no solder. Take original GT core unit out and place transponder glass to main body and place 996 or modified 986 core unit to main body as well. Close the top cover to finish.
